everything is cool...i just think that the tatoos should be lighter, more blended with your mutant's skin.

it's a very nice model. The textures I feel are a great start but could use a little more work. For instance, definately try to iron out those obvious seems in the shoulder area, looks like there may be one on the arm to that isn't as noticable, but it's hard to tell from this shot. You have nice shading going on in the textures adding detail to the model, but it could use some variations in the differnt tones, play around with your saturation shaders. nice job, keep dem' coming

hey that's pretty nice, how big is your texture space?

I agree with making the tatoo a little lighter, but for a first low poly character...very nice. And if that is a low res texture too, then that would be even better. I like the concept too. Great for a low poly style.
If anything I would just say make more tonal variations in his skin because it is a little monotonous.
Overall very well done.

i like it alot.
the only crit i have is the seems...
If you are using deep paint then you should be able to easily get rid of those seems.
Just paint over them in projection mode and they are gone.
09 September 2002, 07:43 PM
Is that using a normal map or a bump map? If the latter, then what'd you use to make it?
09 September 2002, 10:02 PM
well first my texture space is 2048 but the final texture will be 1024, I agree with the seems problem and those are from the bump map wich is quite sensitive and difficult to eliminate because of the distortion.
It a grab from deep paint and I'm not using normal map yet, ill convert it to normal map before I export to the game engine.
Voyer: I've not tried the projection mode, It's my first texture in deeppaint too, but ill try it thanks:thumbsup:
About the tatoos I agree but the original color is red and it already has some transparency over the skin
By the way it's not my concept, can't get credits for that! :bounce:

very cool character, i have an idea to get rid of teh bump map seam problem, just apply it over your model in deep paint like if it was the normal map and just fix teh seems in projection mode.

Wow, it's really great!
I love the work you've done with the pants and it's mouth/teeth. Amazing. =) Though I must agree with the bit about the tatoo's. If they were lighter they would blend perfectly with the skin. =)
Excellent work, loved it
