sketches are brilliant!!
03-24-2005, 10:35 PM
Really nice sketches, I like your style a lot. The panther-like beast is great. The designs for the woman are nice too, though it feels as though her eyes may be perhaps too low on her face. (But i know it's only a concept sketch!) Anyhow, best of luck with it!
03-24-2005, 10:59 PM

03-25-2005, 07:15 PM
Here's some of her character, then I decided to let her free from any tops...and cover with some of tattoo
03-26-2005, 05:52 AM
Dear all... here is the story of the girl and her companion...
The Red Claws
She is the last of her tribe, who traveling around the canyon with her companion ... “The Claws”. Who was born in a half human, and half panther from some of mistaken of natured. No one wants to participate with him, because he doesn’t look like any others, a human.
The story has begun from the day that he finish killed all of the villages who tried to hunt him down. After a moment of brutality and exhausted he heard the scream from a small teepee behind. There was a little girl inside, “This is your last voice little girl, he think”.
Unfortunately, the girl stopped crying when he moved close to her, and start touching his hairy arm and laughed.
Many years later he never found himself differed from others anymore, then they became a good companion called “The Red Claws”, who traveling around the canyon together

03-28-2005, 09:38 PM
I like the face forward sketching of the blind girl a lot. The only thing I would suggest (though I'm seeing it coming through in your progress) is that you tighten it up a bit. Wonderful renderings by the way.
03-28-2005, 09:41 PM
Damn she looks scary! :) I wouldn't want to wake up after a night of booze and dancing with her by my side (or maybe I do?) :)
I have great confidence in your skillz but I have to see the whole picture before I start worshipping you (hmm... that could be a good theme for my Master and Servant entry?) ;)
best of luck :>

03-28-2005, 10:45 PM

04-02-2005, 08:02 AM
Dear all, glad it's Saturday again, ha ha ha...
After late wake up... I just finished a line art and a bit re-composition of image and put some more vine/creepy plant into its background, to gain more their relative meaning and frame it to be more like an ancient myth...
Hope this would be a good sign to me...
04-02-2005, 08:42 AM
looks great to me!
04-08-2005, 06:06 AM
Lately i found that my lateset sketch was nice on emotional and theme but too small of figuring, I intended to improving some more details on their bodies and tatoo, so.
Well, I decided to zoom-in a bit of view to be more larger and posed them to be more closer to show more relatives of them as you see on this picture...
So, What do you says?
04-08-2005, 08:26 AM
I have changed my mind again, ha ha ha...
Just put it back together into its original composition to gain more emotional and keeping it on track...

04-15-2005, 06:28 AM
love how it's going man. I like the rough painting style. The warm color is in good harmony. Love the color palette. Can't wait to see more.
04-15-2005, 06:36 AM
Great work with the colours! It has the look of a classic painting... nice contrast.
I'm not sure what these two are up to yet but will stay tuned to see how it progresses!
04-15-2005, 06:55 PM
Hello, your image with a beautiful harmony of color but especially much of feeling y one was in a question of painting of art, I would say to you not to touch there.
04-15-2005, 06:57 PM
I like the colour contrast you've started between master and servant.
04-16-2005, 08:43 PM
Dear all, today i tried to put some more details on its cloth and figure, and also re-corrected on the girl posing (I found that the last one was wrong on her left shoulder...)
BTW, I need some suggestion that would she have to be with a bras or not, or better let her topless?
And really thanks to you all that cheer me up, and makes me feel so brave, cause I reallize that this such a big time of me...I'd never paint something so big like this before...wish i could get through of it.
04-16-2005, 09:20 PM
It's looking nice so far. I like the layout, and especially the really vibrant colors in your piece! I have to confess i like the former green beast/armor more than the current blue, but i doubt I could tell you any good reason. Just my opinion.
and sisnce you aksed, i like the bra on the woman better than not. No reason to show the breasts unless it serves a purpose or makes a specific statement. Imho.
Good luck with it, and have fun!
04-16-2005, 09:36 PM
Thank you very much Mike, I really appreciates of it :)
and I do agree with you about a color of the Panther Man, that suppose to be green like the same, cause now it turned to be too similar on all the composition, ha ha ha
Anyway, I still open for other suggestion and comment...
04-17-2005, 10:45 AM
i like it looks very dramatic.love the chaotic colour choice.
04-20-2005, 08:20 AM

04-21-2005, 06:36 AM
Luckily, today i got a fever...then i don't have to go to work, ha ha ha...
I'm trying to put some more detail on my image...
04-21-2005, 07:12 AM
interesting story! and i love the direction you took with your illustration, the patterns and body-paint on the characters! Very interesting! What cultural references did you get to create them? Is it all Thai? I fancy that A LOT! Very very nice!! :scream: :)
04-21-2005, 07:26 AM
Thank you Naomi, I try to mixing between some of African and Maya, and also my Thai culture... in fact, I found that both 3 of these graphical pattern were from the same root, as a natural...
BTW. the tattoo on the Panther(I'm trying to makes him more alike...) were found on Thai traditional pattern alss, as we called "Granok Bai-Tesd" in Thai, which mean an adaptation pattern from natural, sharp, to be more curvy and strong...
04-21-2005, 05:32 PM
I just back from the hospital...ha ha ha, also got injected too... actually i got a fever, then it turns to an influenza...
May be it such a good sign that tomorrow i'll have time to enjoy my painting, more more more
04-21-2005, 05:42 PM
Man, I remember coming a while ago. This looking good! love the colors. Keep 'em coming.
04-22-2005, 07:27 PM
After I tried to put on a tattoo pattern on the figure till it satisfied me enough on yesterday...
Today, I decided to put more detail on herface and also corrected some of her face angle, while lifting a tattoo layer off for awhile...

Wish i can finish it right on time...
04-23-2005, 04:16 PM
omg moody, this is astonishing! I was looking at your previous post and updates for this picture and I am amazed at the entire composition. Especially the cloth blowing in the wind, and knowing from your level of detail in your face sktech painting you made a while back for this...I know this is going to be a treat! I cant wait to see you refine this work because I love your work...Please do not stop!
04-23-2005, 05:56 PM
Love your work Moody. It looks like oils and the earthy palette is gorgeous. The tattoos look great.
04-30-2005, 04:25 PM
well, i realized that to paint such a big picture like this is consume a lot of my internal power!!!
04-30-2005, 05:21 PM
Ah! glad to see thai people around here again.
That's so powerful but the composition is not to be so, long shot drop down the might of the apes one. And the most important thing is the mistress and the apes look both thrillfull are there any conflict that I can't see any more.
keep an eye on your next step.
04-30-2005, 09:53 PM
Thanks FIDUCIOSE, but all the confliction which you mentioned is all about the story of this girl and the Panther that i declared on first page, haven't you read it?...
Anyway, really thanks for your suggestion i do apreciate that :)
04-30-2005, 11:01 PM
trying to put some emotional on their both faces... then it came up like this...
05-01-2005, 03:00 AM
nice update krub! detail is shaping up nicely! โทษนะครับ ไม่ทราบว่า จบจากจุฬารึเปล่าครับ
05-15-2005, 06:26 AM
nice detail.love the color a lot.
05-15-2005, 11:36 AM
I see you as the Delacroix of Thailand. Dynamic form and compisition.
I liked the tatoo version, I think, if you have time, you should bring a bit of that back to the final picture.
Looking forward to the finished piece.
05-17-2005, 01:53 PM
Thank you "Addiso" :)
I take it as a complement to be Delacroix, and i do loves him too...
BTW, I'm so tense to finish the paint on time because of my routine job...
If i can't finish this competition you all can see my work by this August from the "Tony Jaa : Tom-Yum-Goong, the game"!!! , i work as an art director for those project
Thanks for all comments!!!
Good luck everyone...
