heres the story. . . there is an army of business men all in their black suits and ties and briefcases, and as soon as they see their master, a one dollar bill, they are all diving and fighting off one another to try to grab it. It has so much power over them that they will do anthing to get it.

Its so true. Really cool concept. Are you gonna do some Matrix: Reloaded type of scene where all the Smiths where rushin' Neo?

The theme is a classic one, but your take on it is refreshing. It should make for some great dynamic composition.

thanks for the replies

as far as the matrix comment, i want to stay far away from looking like the matrix. I might however have each business man look very similar (same face, clothes, etc) as a way of showing how all those guys are the same

I love the concept :thumbsup: What might be cool is if this took place in an office with a bunch of cubicles and the guys are climbing over the tops to get at the money. I cant wait to see this in 3D.

hehehe, i was kind of thinking about that, it would be pretty funny to see these guys scaling cubicle walls

Great idea, i only questin is the enviroment??? what will the surrounding be, just plan white????, are u going for a cartoon or as close to reallife as possible look <--- colud be very effective.....

RhyderKey - The environment will bea realistic environment, i just havent decided on what exactly i want it to be (cubicle, etc. ...) i will work on that later on

wuxi_dakar - the man on the dollar bill (george washington) will be smiling or grinning very slightly, but he will not be in any extreme pose, he will appear as he does on bill.

thanks a lot for the comments in my thread, it's encouraging. i noticed you've said stuff in a lot of other people's threads too, thanks for helping people out, that's really great. i like you concept a lot, and the poses you've got those bipeds in look very nice too, very natural and dynamic. keep up the good work, and thanks again.

Looking good. I'm not sure about that seam on the sholder though, it looks a bit too deep, but then I dont really see too many business suits:)

Hahaaah..Hi tdawg, great concept, one which I think we all identify with immediately. It's coming along reaaly well too. The seams on the suit lookk good, I'd suggest giving it a hem all round as well.

Be sure to give your businessmen that nice "manacured" look. :) Looking at the hands, I'd say it looks pretty good. The pinky just seems a little too thin to me. (may just be the perspective...)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhhh,. . . i just spent an hour unwrapping the hand and when i got to the end it got all screwed up and the UVW cords were lost. :sad: :sad:

also, im really not satisfied with the business suit or the tie or anyhting so im going to erase those and start over.

so for now please only critique the hands and the concept images.

nice work on the hands, specially the nails, i've still not figured out a way to do that that works for me. i noticed that the thumb might have some trouble animating, cuz at each knuckle there's only one division, i don't know if this hand is gonna be altered too much from the pose it's in now, but it might be a good idea to add one more division at the knuckle to allow it to bend and retain it's shape (and maybe not, just a suggestion). sorry to hear your uv's got lost :( that's happened to me before (usually because of a crash though) and i know it's really frustrating, but keep going, it's looking good.

thanks for the tip on the thumb loren, i guess i forgot to add some more edge loops :)
im going to try and redo the UVW maps tonight and maybe even start on the texture if things go smooth.

Sorry to hear about the loss, man. I had a similar thing happen couple weeks ago. Very frustrating stuff. Just keep with. You have a great concept and it's coming along nicely. :thumbsup:

Interesting concept , so real... so true.. i like it !

The hands looks pretty good ,you should maybe clean the wire a bit , there is a bit too much edges!You don't have to model all the details of the hand , you can add them with the textures (with a displacment map for exemple)

Hands looking good, tdawg. :thumbsup: My only crit is the wrist area. Try smoothing out the crease a bit. (but keep that little "bump" at the base of the thumb...:) )
