i have a few ideas that i thought id just throw out incase anybody wants something:

1: the concept of love where a person is so in love with another it dominates their life, they are obsessed it could be conveyed where the contents of the mind are on display to convey the feelings, thoughts and obsessions of the person.

2: what about the concept of god and his/her/its control over us and how we are uitimately under control of that force. it could be done as the punishing force destroying people or a massive swave of energy and light which we feed off.

3: what about our obsession with time and how it dominates us despite the fact it dosent really exist!! there are loads of ways to convey that.

good luck to everyone and enjoy it.

wow somebody has taken an interest in my entry, i was beginning to think nobody would.

mines based on death, where he appears at the most annoying time and takes the life of a young man. very simple idea really.

im building my death model at the moment, it might get finished later on tonight.

cheers for taking the time to ask me.

The Death Angel idea is great!!! May be I can steal some techniques from your D.A.'s robe, or you can steal from my wizard's!!!

And steal my techniques, don't buy, don't borrow or don't even ask, just steal!!!

No pencil sketches?!?!

I like the modeling process so far, only the upper arms seem to be bent. Maybe correct that before proceeding.

facial expression could do with some crit.
how does he look? what is his expression saying?

Hi Jon. Great work so far! I like your young man model - I think maybe his arms are just held out too low below his shoulders. Have you got someone who can take some reference photos of you in a similar pose to see how the body lines appear? Also, they could take some of facial expressions to again give you an idea of the mouth shape. This wide open gape is made in making an AAGGGHH kind of sound. I imagine that if he has just seen death it should be more of a NNNOOOO scream in which case the mouth should be more pursed forward. Watch yourself in a mirror making various sounds. I know you have an image in your head so if you try to re-enact that you will get an idea of how you look. Hope that helps in some way. Good luck! Claireabella

Dude. You're a lot further ahead than I am, I need to catch up.

I like the servant model, although I'm not sure what he's feelling. Without the arms posed, rather than looking shocked it looks more like he's singing opera.

It would help if the expression was asymetrical, and maybe you should quickly make the pupils for eyes. Firstly to check their size, and also to give the character a bit more life while you're adjusting the face.

The rooms coming along nicely, I guess that death will be framed by the door,

It's an orignal and cool idea. Good luck.

thanks for taking the time to post about my work ken. yeah im gonna adjust his face and screw it up even more but the poly count is huge on the model so i'll see how it goes.

Hello there, interesting concept. I have to say I liked the cloaked version of the Death better. As for your question about the facial expression. I think you want to have him say "terror" but he could really use some help in the brows area (making tthe brows go upwards). That would really add to the terror look

Good luck!

an advise i could give you is to make some sketches before beggining to go on your 3d program and model... in this way you wont work for things that you wont use:shrug:

05-15-2005, 04:46 PM
Hey man, you will have to speed up your pace. Deadline is almost here :buttrock:

Good luck :D
