I am looking forward to seeing everyone's work. I hope I can learn loads from this! Good luck to all the challengers and their inspirational work!

I was thinking of Jekyll and Hyde, Hyde's trying to get out and Jekyll is fighting so you dont know who the master is, but I'm not sure if I'll use this.

wow, that looks great!

o ja, eugene, ek is erik, jacques se broer! jou werk lyk baie goed. ek sal definitief baie hier inloer! ek is ook in 2d en 3d, maar nie so goed nie. haha.

really like the angle you got going here. with the shadow as hyde. really great. you prob read the book, and one thing about the movies is that they make hyde look like a monster, when in fact, in the books he looks like a human being, and people just get a feeling that this guy is evil.

Hey Mordalles! Thanx! Dont know if I'll use this pic though, the concept isn't strong enough and my drawing skills arent really good, but hey..we all try! Will keep an eye on your thread! Good luck with your concept!

thx, and let me tell you, judging by this pic, i think there is nothing wrong with your drawing ability! i wish i could draw that well!

I started coloring a bit, but I\'m not really happy with the concept. Thinking of starting with something else!

03-29-2005, 11:03 AM
i think you r concept is fine, maybe you can change the view from a worm perspective (hulk covers) and instead of plain shadow on the wall(background), try to make as if the shadow are
another 3D object trying to get out from the wall (frighteners).

I can see where the idea with this is going, and it seems interesting. You need to take a reference picture of someone at this angle though, it's a hard pose to pull off from this perspective, and as it stands his legs' position looks strange. Granted, it is a concept sketch though

03-29-2005, 10:18 PM
i like that idea of the shadow actualy being a 3d person coming out of the wall. also, you must create a nice setting, shadows dancing on the wall (shadows from fireplace), you know, that kinda thing. wanna see more.

My new concept, just started painting and the idea created itself. There will be a sorcerer manipulating and controling this demon aswell. I feel more comfortable with this concept, so here we go!

03-30-2005, 07:50 AM (

Started painting and its coming along, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated from this novice?! This is fun!

Elemental suggests that he is either Air, Water, Earth, or Fire. A daemon cannot be an elemental.

03-30-2005, 07:23 PM
hi. yeah, i like the daemon. it reminds me of mephisto from diablo 2. where is the wizard gonna stand, and what will his expression be? those horns are really well painted.

you should make the hair and eyebrows blue flames. and really try to make the ribcage show through the skin. also, maybe you can give him a tail, since you cant see how his body ends. just a few suggestions. hehe. also, try to get some cool enscriptions on his body, in some sort of ancient language. some of his teeth you can perhaps make a bit sharper than they are now.
*brain storming*
what about some spiky armbands or some kinda chains coming out of his skin.
my expreience, the more detail, the better! hehe.

It looks good.

Whoa, is dit 'n Fourie forum die, heheh! Thanx for the suggestions, I was thinking of spicing him up a bit too, those idea's will prove usefull!

Hi, I am the forth of the Fourie Brothers...nah, just kindding.

Looks pretty good so far. Really nice frost/smoke-like effect you created there.

From taking a look at your first concept's character, I would definitely have to agree with Mordalles; There is definitely nothing wrong with your drawing ability. I am curious to see what the end product will look like.

Keep up the good work.
