Here is my concept.
I had a lot of ideas and decided to go with "The Servant King". Based on the idea of Christ being the King of Kings who humbled himself as a servant.
The image reflects Christ as the servant and bright lights will resemble his devotion to God as the Master.
It may look simple or old but the theme is as strong a symbol today than it ever was! It also reflects my life and my devotion to the Servant King as I am a servant to Him also. So I guess this time its personal..... he he

Thinking of going for a polynesian theme to reflect my personal connection.

Interesting take on the theme. The underside of the cross looks a bit weird. At the moment it looks as if it's growing out of his back. I just think you don't need to see quite as much. He also looks like he's going to fall flat on his face under the weight of the cross. Also maybe make him less muscular, I doubt Christ was that toned . Best of luck

Ooooh, great! i wanted to see someone finish a idea like this one! :scream:
Keep it up!

Thanks for that the cross is a bit funny hey.
Although it is Christ-like I'm thinking it will more a depliction of polynesians and their devotion to faith. So its really a mixture of self sacrifice and belief. The master being faith and one's self being the servant to faith.

-This is not Jesus Christ, but a visual interpretation of faith and pacific island culture.
- The muscular build is a symbol of strentgh
- the cross is a symbol of submission
- the crown is a traditional samoan chiefs headwear
- He is the servant of Christ which is seen as the light which will be in the back ground
- Dedicated to the late Pope and his service to mankind.
- Sometimes being a servant isn't something that lords itself over you but and ideal you believe in. You are a sevant by choice not my force motivated by love and not hate.

Mmmmm. I don't think my single character works just yet so i'm thinking of adding another one.
Not happy with the composition of it.
The last picture is not really telling a story yet.

I think it is a very strong theme, after all He is the master of all creation and beyond. Kudos for putting it out there. I originally was going to do a very similar theme in that I was going to show the scene where Jesus washes the disciples feet- the master who serves, but i really like this one. It has a lot of potential. My only suggestion is that the persective on the cross is off a bit. Rather than the bottom side of the cross beam and the top pulling away, we should be able to see the top of the pole part and the top of the cross beam. Just my suggestion, grain of salt you know. I can't wait to see more of it.

Boldtman: Thanks for the comments and encouragement. I really want to do the theme justice. Gotta work on that perspective and the overall composition.

Shading test.
Working on the lighting.
Something dramatic.
Trying to get a focal point with the light and then let the eye follow the light down.
