i think i shall go for fantasy... as getting everything right is going to be a sod anyway..
ime using cinema 4d. and ime waiting for my mum to give me some kind of idea for a spaceship... since my imagination sucks :)....

just done an early model of the hangar... must add more stuff to it....
first movie here (http://files.bighosting.net/ix10200.mov)
second movie here (http://files.bighosting.net/oc10203.mov)
i prefer the second as i think it is much sleeker looking.. although there isnt much difference between them. i should really finish off the outside and...stuff.....
anyway this competition is fun and i have learnt lots about movement and modeling so far. i hope to learn much more.... just have to see how it goes :)

i have been working on a fighter ship... for part of the animation.
the model is just about finished i think
making the model
added minor effects to the material. it looks much better :)
i have done a lighting test for some stuff i was going to do for the animation... anyway i think its going pretty well.... just have to do model some sort of canyon now :)

got sidetracked moddeling a ford focus... decided i was no good at it and came back to here :)
i have to find some way of making a nice canyon or sum form of track thing like in star wars podracing and the trench run on the battlestar...... i dunno how best to do it in cinema tho :(.....
is there any form of free trial on something that could do this... i would like to be able to import it into cinema from the program in use so that i can do the lighting and after stuff in there.... i just need a landscape.. like a canyon or sumthing.. can also paint it in cinema...
as i do not want to have to learn a new system of lighting.. ime only just getting comfortable with cinema.. so all my models are going through it at the mo:shrug:
aaaannnnnyyy way.. can someone help.... i shall look for some alternatives and try and think of something else to be getting on with.....
hmmm shall look for space images...
edit: nm i found terragon... which can export as lightwave... which i can import into cinema
just to start using it

i had just pretty much finished my canyon scene... it was looking awesome.. well i liked it :)
and then IT SODDING CRASHED.... looks like i wont be able to leave it rendering overnight and watch it in the morning.... ime going to get to where i was last time.. tommorow.. as that has just finished me off for the day and ime afraid that if i go back to it now i will get stressed and delete it....
bah i have to re track the fighter, re do the lazers (they toook aaaggggeees :() re set up most of the primary ship lighting.... bah that took ages to...
not in a good mood... shiv out..

i think i will go fully into a cartoon style render.... because my ability to paint stuff is lacking....
i rendered an 800/600 view of the short part.. i got 900 frames and it was about 41 meg. it was also non cartoon style... i think i will make a cartoon style because it looks better and i can use it as an excuse for my poor texturing :)
i think i shall also change the texture of the canyon to a gray thing so i can say it is the moon....
just to do some more stuff.... bah lol these things take ages but the rewards are great :)
