Hi guys, not sure if this is the appropriate room to post this but here goes:
I am currently compiling a list of CG Film Festivals, both those well-known, and those local/regional. I would love to post my results when I am done, and there will be constant updates once this is started, and it will be up on the Bay Area Siggraph Chapter site (once that's up and going too).
If anyone out there could be so kind, please let me know what festivals you know of that I may have missed. I hope to capture all of them.
Thanks you all! CG Talk OWNS =)

Can you show us the list you have so far so that we'll know whether or not you already have the ones we come up with. I think that be a better way of going about it.

k let's try this out...
Bay Area Now
3D festival Copenhagen
Australian Effects and Animation Festival
Chicago International Children's Film Festival
Florida Film Festival
Moondance Film Festival
Ottawa Film Festival
Savanna Film & Video Festival
Spike and Mike's Festival of Animation
Holland Animation Film Festival
...and some ones I'm working out the details of.
Basically, I prefer recurring festivals since they would be far more useful to artists looking for some recognition and for a place to meet people and network.

Here is a list of about 25+ worldwide animation festivals:
Also there are a bunch listed here(not necessarily animation):

hmm cool that first link is a winner, although I do have a bunch of those.
anyone know of any more regional ones? huge film festivals are great, but they can be expensive, selective, and fre and far in-between. I'll check each one of the ones out on the site though, thanks!

Chicago has a pretty huge film festival every year. They accept animated shorts and feature length animation. If you make a good short, it has a good chance of ending up on Image Union which is a local television show that features independent films and animation.

techtv in san francisco will play your animation on eye drops if its good enough.
Eyedrops still doesn't show the credits which I agree can detract from the time and entertainment of the show.
I decided not to watch it, and wether our work was good enough or not we decided not to offer our tapes at SIGGRAPH as no credits were shown just the name of the software!!!! :thumbsdown
But, now they fairly overlay the name of the artist. :)

I think that the Stockholm Film Festival and Gothenburg Filmfestivals accept shorts. Not 100% though...

Gothenburg Filmfestival (http://goteborg.filmfestival.org/filmfestival/)
