View Full Version : Hull shape with max 6

I want to model a hull shape for a sailboat with max. I understand that max is a little poor to do nurbs modeling (and nurbs are the better way to model a hull:D ). I know several other apps who can do that very well like rhino3d but i own max 6 and i dont want to buy a other one just for this.
Somebody can give me a tip for do it well with max...nurbs or not.

no just go with spline modelling, and ad a surface modifier, and go into detail by converting it to polys later.. or just start of with polygons, and model the basic shape with poly modelling, shift extrude edges, and weld them, works very nice.
