View Full Version : Freeze after envelopping?

hello all! :beer:
Let me explain myself : :p
I have a character that is enveloped on a skeleton.
Now I want to create shapes for the head of the character.
So I ma moving a lot of points, edges, etc, on the head of the character.
This results in an increasing size of the operator stack.
Of course I don't want to keep all this modelling history.
But if I freeze the character's geometry, it will loose its envelope op, and its relationship to the skeleton.
So what am I supposed to do?
Any help would be great :bounce:

You can do it by proceeding the following way:
Before editing the geometry, right-click on the envelopop and choose Disable From Here. Then edit the geometry as you want. When you're done, select the newly created operators and freeze them.
Finally, right-click again the envelopop and choose Enable From Here. Et voilą :airguitar

I just tried and it works, but you have to be very carefull about one thing : as Atyss said, BEFORE editing the mesh, disable the envelopop.
