i did some tests trying to simulate SSS using translucency channel and some weight maps...
usefull for some situations.

I know ,, CIM's was at first just a face, then the head,,, now the head is moving,,,,he's slowly coming to life!!!!!

Skin from Eric Soulvie (the same guy who did BESM and gMIL) may do the trick for you.

I like what gSkin does, but at low thickness levels, 3-5mm, the light spread is nice but all color is lost. If anyone else has used this shader, I'd love to check out your work :beer:
