Hey everyone,

I saw this picture of the Witch King in an awesome pose and I just had the urge to draw him. I was fooling around with different angles and this is what I ended up with.

Let me know if you notice any perspective or proportion problems, anything.

Well, no feedback yet so I went the next step and started experimenting with lighting.

Still working on the lighting. I should start to think of a background...any ideas?

how about his orcish armies all lined up behind him?

Well I decided to go with Minas Morgul in the background. Again, I couldnt find a good picture with the proper angle, so let me know if it needs any changes thus far.

Well, I think it's looking cool. You've got some good preliminary work going on here. However, I'm wondering, why did you choose this subject matter?

I just had the URGE. This is just a personally satisfying piece I guess you could say. I'm even currently watching the ROTK.
Anyway, this is what it looks like so far with the background and the Witch King together.

DigitalNeutrino ( - I can't agree more. One of my favourite villains in any movie.

Now I'm adding the sickly green tones in the background to Minas Morgul. I'll post updates soon.

Looking good pixelcritter. Once you've defined the edges and smoothed everything out, this will be a very nice artwork!
