The best set of anatomy for artists books I know of are three by Giovanni Civardi, and published by studio vista - 'Drawing human anatomy', 'Drawing the female nude', and 'Drawing the male nude'. They are all outstanding. You could probably even get them from your local library.

One thing that is often overlooked is Medical Textbooks.

They contain some of the best illustrations, and they show how stuff sits under the skin - which is an important conisderation.

That reminds me. Its not a medical book but its one of the best anatomy books out there. Its a bit pricy. I think I paid 65 buck. But Human anatomy for the artist , Elements of form by Eliot Goldfinger. Its one of the best anatomy books out there. If you've taken any life drawing classes and you always wonder what some of the muscles do or connect this is the book. After drawing and using this book as ref it all just kind of makes sense.
