I'm playing with Lowman again ~ thx lichiman. This time he jumps over a block. I'm not sure if my timing is right but right now I think it's ok.

I like it, but i would work a little more on the build up to the jump, he seems to jump a little too easy. Mabye have him bending over a little more with some more arm motion.
im learning as well just my 2 cents.

Your idea is pretty nice, and what i've notice is your character seems to be abit too stiff. Also, as Horns_1 suggested on the build up, add more anticipation would be key.
My suggestion is, it might be better @ the build-up to have the character looking at the block where he's going to jump over to show what he's about to do and have the knee bend more. Also, loosen the shoulder a lil more and perhaps give the arms a more dramatic swing will help.
For the timing, it's about right. So good job and keep it up!

I agree that the anticipatin and the arm motion is not enough, i'll try to push them hard when i have time ...hopefully I can post an update ASAP!

from what i can see your guy lacks followthrough , also hes in the air too long almost floating
then falls to the ground , its a good base but just pay attention to his weight

thx for the critiques. Here's another version of the animation. I added a run in the beginning instead of that funny pose.
this one is rough and not final of course. the timing doesn't look good. i'll fix it soon:)

Hey there. I like the feel of it. The anticipation to the run is a really funny pose. It just looks to me as if he would fall over. I'm not sure if you specifically avoided this or not, but maybe add a little more torso twist during the run. That will add more fluidity to the run. I do however think it looks funny like it is. The way he runs seems to go with his character, and the first pose.

Hi guys. I've decided to change his arms. They are now dragging backwords during the run. I think this looks better. Any C&C are welcome.:)

I finally decided to render this thing. I added motion blur to it. Hope it helps to cover up something :scream:
