View Full Version : Menral ray and subsurface approximation problem

I have beed experiencing a weird render results when I turn on subsurface approximation on a poly mesh I have in my scene. A texture (even a checker) in MR render gets soft and smuged... In Maya software render it looks fine.
I'm using Maya6 on Linux but is this a known issue or am I setting something wrong?
When i convert poly to sub-d the render looks fine so I think it's jsut a approximation thing.

Does anyone know a work around??? Please help.
