View Full Version : My Lightwave texturing competition entry...

09 September 2002, 07:32 AM
Woohoooo I finally had an hour or two to spare last night (after the last few weeks of hellish deadlines and stress), and I got started on my entry for the texturing competition.
It's obviously still a little rough - I just slapped on a few weight maps, gradients and procedurals, so it's still very much in the "roughing out" stage :)
Any comments or crits would be cool to hear :D

I'm going for an African shaman kinda look.

It is only using procedural textures, no maps at all (coreect me if i'm wrong).

Yeah, it's only procedurals :)

It's also only the third thing that I have ever textured using solely procedurals, so it's a bit tricky for me, I must admit :p

Leigh looking awesome... however it looks like the uvs start to get distorted towards the middle of the lepard skin... not sure if its on purpose or not but the sides look perfect then middle they spiral
