View Full Version : Mental Ray-Reflection Glass problem

HI, this is a scene in my project of a photo frame on a wall. The photo frame reflects on the front door of the house.
Rendered using
Final Gather Mental ray: 150 rays
min rad:0.511
max rad:5.11
+ reflection blur

Problem 1 : How to get rid of the diagonal rays? The strips did not appear before i added reflection blur. And i cant undo it since

Problem 2: the reflection is grainy. where to adjust the gaininess but retains the blurness?

just try increasing the reflection blur rays. this will definetly remove the grainines, but i don't know if this lines will disapear.

it's actually a semi transparent plane (glass) with reflection 'on' in front of another plane (photo)
