You can do they same thing in half as many steps in Lightwave useing clip mapped UV leaf textured polys and cloned points.
I did this one in about five minutes useing nothing but Lightwave and a free LScript called Point Clone Extra v3.It aslo carry weight maps and I think vertex info but I'm not sure.
Just for anyone who might be curious about other apps and tree creation.:cool:

If my memory serves me then this tutorials is pretty old (in relative terms) - I think Chrom posted it here when the board re-opened at this site...
