View Full Version : CGFX in maya 6.5

Hello everybody !

Has anyone managed to make the cgfx plugin work with Maya 6.5 ? I'm dreaming of a nice new plugin that could make the cg shader work like it used to in the 4.5 version.

I guess Alias is aware of that problem, so does anyone know if they made any comment or suggest any solution to make this plugin works.

I also find it strange that they released the plugin ( once more with the 6.5 version ) without testing it... so it must be working somehow.

The key is finding the correct CGToolKit for the correct version of Maya. For 6.5 use CGToolKit v.1.2.1 ... if you have a ToolKit already installed, simply running this 10meg Cg_1.2.1_Setup.exe ( should work.

This is documented in Alias's help under bonusTools menu.

they have version 1.3 now everyone so update.
