View Full Version : 3D Max camera tracking

This project (titled "CG Clay") was done in 2003. This was my first introduction to camera tracking in 3D Max5.0. Once this project was done, I found out about those expensive matchoving software as Boujou and Matchmover. Now, I only use Matchmover to track my footage.

Nice done! I always like that 'cam-matching' tests, allot! :) Only thing thats 'bothering' me, is that I've been able to do a similar effect (compositing/matching a clock on a table) with just the built in tracker.... Because you putted markers on that table (so I did)... I think such expensive stuff as Matchmover of Boujou can match / track it automaticaly (without markers; I know Boujou does :) )...?! So why did you unless use that markers? :)

[edit:] I'm not sure if you mean this is done with Matchmover or built-in tracker/matcher...?!
