View Full Version : increase the openGLresolution of the textures

02 February 2005, 05:14 PM
I have made a head with an eye. the eye has just a texture.

The rendered picture it's ok. But when I want to animate it, in the openGL-Display the resolution of the texture is too low. Can I increase it?

Thanx for your help!

In the shader's attribute editor, go down to the "hardware texturing" section.

From there, you can up the OpenGL resolution to 256x256, as well as nifty things like enabling/disabling alpha channels and other things. Note that this will have an adverse effect on performance, so try to only up the rez on areas that you really need to (like eyeballs).

This area comes in really helpful in a lot of circustances -- for example, I'm working on placing a shader right now that has no color component, only spec and bump. I can choose to display a higher res version of the bump map instead of color in OpenGL.

Hope this helps.
