This is a broadcast design reel, everything (from storyboards to final)
3D was done by me in Cinema and Maya. 2D & compositing in AE.

Please let me know what you think.

Nice job! How did you do the ribbon effect on the democratic convention & sports central spots ?

In max I use ghost trails.

in cinema 4d they have something called sweep nurbs. thanx for the compliment!

very nice job, I've always love those news style intros. nice stuff. looks like you've locked up a few big gigs.

amazing stuff, i really like the fact that flow of the editing is just as high quality as your compositing. I would be intressting to know how mutch is "storyboard" and how mutch is "just" "trial and error"? Well anyway, great stuff !

Hi, solid reel! good work. Only thing that bugs me is the intro and outro... the design is simple yes, and gets the info across but it seems far too plain. It's such a contrast to the richness and quality of the rest of the reel imo.

your right about the intro and stuff. I needed a new reel for a freelance gig, and I just grinded something out.

I like this alot. I do alot of TV post production work and your title work is solid. Nice work!

PS: whos the song by and whats it called?

Awesome reel. Out of curiousity, how old are you?

I'm probably completely off but is the song "Just Believe" by Air?

06-17-2005, 12:41 PM
thanks guys. Yes, that song is by "Air". To answer your question- I just turned 22 three days ago.

06-19-2005, 03:41 PM
That's probably because it's not by Air. It's by TÚlÚpopmusik and is called Breathe.

06-19-2005, 06:29 PM
sorry, I wasn't paying attention earlier. The song is: "Telepopmusik-Breathe"

KAGU, Great stuff and a nice website too! I really don't mind your open because it makes me read your name and think about who you are. After all you want people to remember your name. Sometimes simple is better.

I have a music question too. What's the song on the Maxim spot?

Anyway great stuff! You've been booked marked.

totally great material...high level of sofistication and detail!

I love particularry the logo thing...

Can you tell me please, where you used maya?

06-28-2005, 07:37 PM
Sometimes I use maya to build elements for spots. My main program is cinema 4d.

Awesome awesome awesome ... AWESOME!

Do you have any books you'd recommend relating to some of the items in your reel? Broadcast graphics like you're doing would be my ideal job. I'd like to read a little more into getting involved!
