Hi guys,

Rick May who runs CG-Char is investigating the possibility of creating a short films DVD, and is looking for submissions of decent quality. He intends to share any profits from the sale of such a DVD with the artists involved which is fairly rare and well worth supporting.

You can read more about it here: cgchar.toonstruck.com (http://cgchar.toonstruck.com/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=10&t=3354&)

and submit your films directly to: cgchar.shortfilm@gmail.com (read the thread first though)

Let's hope some of you are interested in getting your work seen!

I think this is a great idea-

Considering there is a lot of talent out there who could use alternative outlets for commercial exposure I feel there needs to be more of these kinds of initiatives in the future.

Rick needs a lot more submissions so spread the word and if you have a short film, contact him!

It's sounding very promising, c'mon how many of you want to get your work seen on a very respected animation forum dvd?

Sounds like a promising enterprise.
Spreading the word and getting more submissions in seems like the way to go.
As Rick said, securing healthy distribution to the larger stores requires some considerable preliminary outlay, so the resevoir of 'untapped' talent should get their work in ASAP to get the ball rolling in the right direction.

Good luck :)
