View Full Version : What am i doing wrong?

well heres the deal...i have my uv's laid out....i select the faces....i go to the attribute editor....then i go to the lambert file....and change the color to the color map file that i made in photoshop....then theres the problem any other object that has a lambert shader has my do i assign the color map just to the selected uv's?

well, i guess you're using maya, eh ?! have you tried 'assign new material' to those faces instead of modifying that lambert thing ? as far as i know, lambert is mayas' standard-material, which all new and untextured objects inside your scene will have applied to them automatically.

yeah u need to create a new shader
goto-- >window>rendering>hypershade (i think) :)
