View Full Version : Normal mapping- Polycount- suggestions?

I am working on my demo reel (as a modeller, and texture artist), and I am normal mapping a character.
I am living in Canada, and want to apply to companies based there, such as Montreal, Edmonton, etc.

I need to show off polycounts for consoles (maybe computer?).

What should my low-poly count for the character be?
I know the main characters from Jade Empire (for xbox) are running up to 5000 polys.
But this isn't the norm.
If I'm making a demo reel, what should my poly count be?
