View Full Version : Cloning LOD objects through Maxscript

I need to make several copies of LOD objects through MaxScript. When I do this using the cloneNodes command, the new LOD objects are incorrect. The LOD panel shows multiple copies of the models in each LOD object.

The solution might be with the ‘actualNodeList’ parameter of cloneNodes. Unfortunately, I’ve tried using that with no success (I am very new to MaxScript).

To see what is happening, create a LOD object, select it, and run the following:

for i = 1 to 5 do
maxops.cloneNodes $ offset:[(50*i),0,0] newNodes:&test

When you select one of the clones you can see that it is different from the original object by looking at the list of models in the Level of Detail panel.
