I'm learing XSI on my own right now, but i plan on taking a class to learn XSI, however, so far I found XSI to be pretty straight forward. Though, I think the learing cruve is high, I'd achieve more with XSI in 1 year then I have with 3ds MAX(which is easier) in 2 years!

It's not very hard to pick up XSI. But it's deep, so it might take you a while to learn it all. I've got a lot of tutorials on my web site. EdHarriss.com (http://www.EdHarriss.com) That might be a good place to start. I also teach an internet based XSI class (http://www.mesmer.com/docs/distlearn/olxsi2.html). It might interest you if you want more structure, feedback, a teacher and to go beyond what the tutorials can teach you.

I'm thinking of learning XSI myself, as my first 3D app.
DO you think that's a good idea?
