Well, it seems that the site is back up, thank god! Now everything seems to work fine... until the next time it messes up on me.. -_-
[EDIT #2] After some awesome comments made by several people, I have edited the current reel, now its a minute shorter and has new music, hopefully youll find it more pleasurable[/EDIT#2] btw, the links in this post still work, theyll take you to the new version.

Here's the reel that has kept me pretty damn busy for the past few months. I finally managed to get my website finished and since I am looking for work I figured this would be the best way to start.

Quicktime version, 15 megs:

Windows Media version, 16 megs:

and if both of those mess up or dont work or whatever, heres a link to the gallery ( on my site where you can make sure they work properly and whatnot.

Crits and comments are welcome and appreciated, many props to Calvin Barreto ( and Rahul Choudhury ( for their help :)

Hey Xavi, like I said on ITS BRILLANT.

I wish you the best of luck in the gaming industry (once you get hired) and don't forget about us little people who bothered you along the way :)

Great Demo Reel buddy :)

very nice characters, textures, and illustrations! best of luck in the industry as well:)

i recommend changing the music, it's very boring IMO, much like weather channel music.. :banghead: :D

thanks jason, good to see youre posting here too!, I didnt even notice your reply till now.
Btw Ive gotten sme feedback about how the reel should be a tad shorter, so in a couple of days ill update with the edited version (about a minute shorter, and yes, ill change the music too, youre not the only one whos complained)
thanks for all the comments

very simply . . . I'm impressed.

Edit: I should have read the previous post. I'm just repeating already stated opinions
Don't you hate it when people don't read the thread and just post the same crits...i sure do

This criticism isn't about your work wich I find pretty flawless (although not my cup of tea) but I strongly suggest you change the music. It is very dull and doesn't help your demo at all. I know almost everybody will watch it without sound but if just for the few who will, I'd change it. And a tighter editing maybe. Otherwise...maybe the opening work isn't strong enough to be an opener. I know it presents all your character but I would try it after the 3d showcase.

thats one sick reel!!!
really like your style man! checked out your site for the rest of the sketches. top stuff!!

got a little thrown near the end of your reel. i didnt quite follow whats "by Todd Riddlebarger" and whats by "by Samantha Stevenson".....the reel does say quite clearly that the rigs are "by Malcolm...."...?!

Well, took me a littrle bit, but the reel has been revised finally! I had some complaints about the lenght, so everything after Meatloaf is gone, theres also a new song which I hope people wont find as boring (gotta love the pillows)
In case you dont feel like scrolling up for the links, here they are again

quicktime version (

windows media version (

dahiya:hahaha, ooops, shouldave made that clearer, lemme explain:
The fox character I designed, then my colleagues Todd did the actual model and texture. Same thing with the inside scene, I designed it while my other colleagues Samantha handled the 3d version.
As for Malcolm, hes a badass setup artist amd he hooked me up by doing the rigs for my characters, you can check out his site righthere (
