modelled this this morning, started out as a test, but i'm starting to like it!
any comment very welcome on how to change it, but i'd like to texture it!
Since i never really textured a head, i wondered where to start:
ok... unwrap the model to make the UV, and then?

Try that, it explains it and itsunderstandable
I really have never done it either but I think you first create a bump map. This map is black and white
Once yu like how all the creveses are than move on to the color map

it is harder than it sounds, but....
select the polygons you wish to map.
click the T to enter texture mode. then select to make a new texture map in the dropdown window.
chose the type of maping, orientation, and give it a name.
enter the UV texture view and adjust points as needed, you may need to unweld all the points first depending on map type.
reweld points as needed.
of course the texture creation is a entirely different project....

thx for the tips!
my question was indeed about the texture creation, (the part about unwrapping the uv maps and the rest i already know, i have used UVs sometimes but thx anyway :thumbsup: )
for now i'm gonna read the making of arach and the tutorial of leigh in the texturing section...
