01 January 2005, 05:07 PM
Stunning image! Very well done!

01 January 2005, 05:17 PM
great scene, congratulation

01 January 2005, 05:46 PM
With every new image of your's I see, I like your work more and more. Great texturing, modelling, and especially the lighting in the different versions of this scene. I really love your architectural designs and blending of architecture and nature like lots of your images. I really enjoy how all your works are great by themselves but each has similarities in the design and overall feel of the scene.

01 January 2005, 06:23 PM
I think your detail is amazing! I love the modeling and the textureing

One large crit from me is that although everyhting looks great, all of your renders (except for the test) are way overly green. Everything just has this green color cast and it is ruining the renders for me.

01 January 2005, 07:33 PM
very nice scene I can see a lot of thought went into this peice! great job.

01 January 2005, 09:27 PM
Your work is fantastic!!! pure art!
Congrats my friend!!

01 January 2005, 10:28 PM
great job i love the desighn and the textures, the only thing is the water seems to repetitve you should try putting some ripples in behind the boat<wake waves> but make it suttle cuz i dont think your boat is traveling to fast.

01 January 2005, 10:49 PM
This is not the first time I've admired your work!

You've got an incredible eye for environments.

- Jonas

01 January 2005, 11:21 PM
just incredible work!!!
i love it...

how much time you spend on it?

greetings

01 January 2005, 11:25 PM
This is so well done !!! Love the way you executed this :applause:

01 January 2005, 11:31 PM
Very beautiful!

My only crit is that rectangular bricks do not seem to be the right material for building such organic shapes...

01 January 2005, 11:34 PM
Hmm has anyone seen a faily old movie called "The Time Machine"? If you seen it, doesn't this piece of work remind you of it? I think this is very beautiful.

01 January 2005, 11:48 PM
The feeling of height in the first image is really amazing. I can feel my altitude apprehension comming up again.

01 January 2005, 11:50 PM
Nice work. My only criticism is the water; it's too grainy. It gives off the impression of a solid surface...perhaps this is just due to the small scale of the ripples/noise relative to the entire image and how the renderer handled them. Very nice images nonethless.

01 January 2005, 11:53 PM
Very nice environment, with all those polys your comp must be crying, anyway the models and environment look great, only one crit. the water on the first pic looks a little strange to me more like a rock surface, dosnt look like there is any wind but the water is really chopped up.

anyway great job !!!

02 February 2005, 12:06 AM
very cool scene! congratulations...

02 February 2005, 12:08 AM
Hi Weihua, this work its beautifull, the stones, the birds flying, the greens, the people standing and walking on the plataforms, the light here and there makes i a very beautifull set!
why don´t u do an enviorment with rain!? it would b great... just an idea...
keep this mighty work:thumbsup:

02 February 2005, 12:12 AM
Reminds me a lot of the future environment depicted in the movie " The Time Machine" (latest version). Nice work.

02 February 2005, 12:28 AM
Wow, you're so creative. I loved the last one too...uhm.

Models, textures, render...perfectly executed man.

Can't wait for the next one!! ;)

02 February 2005, 12:28 AM
Someone give this guy a render farm.

02 February 2005, 12:29 AM
Really fantastic and so beautiful, I like your universe a lot!

02 February 2005, 12:37 AM
Do you object to anybody using one of your images as desktop background?

They're an inspiration.

02 February 2005, 12:48 AM
Reminds me a lot of the future environment depicted in the movie " The Time Machine" (latest version). Nice work.

02 February 2005, 01:01 AM

fantastic concept and design, this is awesome.

02 February 2005, 03:38 AM
cool lighting !~very creative...keep it up!

02 February 2005, 04:52 AM
very impressive architecture nice job!. It's reminds me the scene of a movie "The time Machine" science fiction/ fantasy.

02 February 2005, 04:56 AM
I like your picture, nice works.

02 February 2005, 05:14 AM
It's a beautiful concept, I love the models and the textures although feel it would benefit from a re-think of the current color scheme. It feels slightly over-green, I can appreciete the effect you're going for but not sure it works IMO.

Doesn't take away from the fact that it's a great piece though.

02 February 2005, 05:56 AM
Very impressive, as usual!

I'm wondering if you could fill me in on how you created the foliage and organic rock formations?
The top of the image in particular, the area with the vines.
Amazing stuff...

02 February 2005, 06:12 AM
Reminds me of The Time Machine by Simon Wells In the year 802,701

02 February 2005, 07:16 AM
This is beautiful! Nothing to crit! from me

02 February 2005, 07:39 AM
nice job dude!

02 February 2005, 08:15 AM
Very, very nice! If you haven't submitted this for Exposé 3 already I really think you should.

02 February 2005, 08:16 AM
Very nice images!

The only thing I would put some time and detail on, is the water in the first image. Looks too artifical.... maybe some individual waves?

02 February 2005, 09:07 AM
wow, that is amazing... i really like the daylight render... i think the fog in the evening render is a bit too green... but ur modleing and visualization skill is just too good... keep up the amazing work man...

02 February 2005, 09:23 AM
Awesome piece and yeah reminds me a lot of time machine! :)

02 February 2005, 09:48 AM
awesome myst lilke work

02 February 2005, 10:43 AM
Trés bonne compo, atmosphere et textures.. tu pourrais nous en dire plus sur la façon dont tu as compose la végétation?, tu as utilise un plug-in?...

02 February 2005, 10:52 AM

02 February 2005, 11:51 AM
thanks all friends:) :bounce:

I see your drew too!

so so so good!

02 February 2005, 12:17 PM
Vraiment impressionant !

J'adore le monde que tu as créé, et à chaque fois tes images racontent un chapitre de cet univers.
Si je ne devais faire qu'une seule critique, ce serait sur le rendu de l'eau, il y a un peu trop de bruit à mon goût.

Bravo !

02 February 2005, 01:21 PM

I don't know what to say :) ...really good job on the designs..maybe the water needs a little more work but that's it !! Tu n'aurai pas un synopsis ou carrement un scenario de ton projet, je serai curieux de voir de quoi sa parle..bonne continuation !!

02 February 2005, 01:30 PM
very good, the lighting is great

02 February 2005, 01:51 PM
nice, reminds me of a couple o scenes froma movie like 'time machine' and the place where the ewoks live and some more...but still comes out uniquely. i just think the background is bit too foggy/ hazzy.

02 February 2005, 02:17 PM
中国的cg艺术在发展 做的不错 很牛 在这里我说几句国语 为表达此时的心情

02 February 2005, 02:27 PM

02 February 2005, 03:19 PM
Great scene. Love the colors!

The architecture reminds me of something from the Myst game series. Did you get any of your inspiration from those games?

Again, awesome scene.

02 February 2005, 03:54 PM
A view conceive outline, the beautiful color match.Very nice work!

02 February 2005, 04:18 PM
Really kool pic for sure. The water is a little odd looking. Reminds me of a location from that time machine movie that was out a couple of years ago.

02 February 2005, 05:00 PM
thanks all friends:) Because all is I does, not too much time, so there is very many not perfect places. Thanks everybody the reply.i will continue to do well .thanks all:)

02 February 2005, 05:47 PM
Again, really nice concept. the texture on the buildings, how did you get the transparent look to it?

02 February 2005, 06:19 PM

Best Regards.

02 February 2005, 12:45 AM
This picture is absolutely fantastic-maybe it just speaks to my style or something, but this is great art. I wish i could give more than 5 stars.

02 February 2005, 07:53 AM

02 February 2005, 08:37 AM
Its pictures like this that inspire me to look at nature and its forms differently. This has to be one of my favourite enviroments I ever seen. Just one thing though. You mentioned feeling the sea breeze. I loved the description of that It didn't strike me when look at the picture alone. Maybe you could include something that would respond to the breeze, like a flag say? maybe more subtle. I'm not sure whats possible with 3D either.

Thank you for sharing this picture and how you made it :D

02 February 2005, 09:19 AM
wow...surprise again...
Great feeling...
I like your every picture I saw.

02 February 2005, 10:11 AM
As beautiful as it is awsome. Astonishing work indeed.

02 February 2005, 01:15 PM
Awesome Work ^^

02 February 2005, 01:20 PM
Very beautiful work man.

The only things I see that I would have had different if I had the tallent to do such things as beautiful as this would be to tone down the noise going on in the water and add some kind of disturbance in the water caused by the boat, ie trails, ripples and such and probably make the boat set a lil lower in the water it kinda looks like its almost floating above it.

Other then that this is a masterful work very very nice.

02 February 2005, 02:07 PM
Excellent SF&F illustration! The fact its 3d its simple jawdroping :) I like the choosen color gamma (evenings one) and overall atmopshere. The level of details are stuning... top notch work!

02 February 2005, 02:09 PM
wow...thats a MASTERPIECE in every aspect... PERFECT !

02 February 2005, 02:52 PM
Great work. I think you captured the feel you were looking for.

Hmm has anyone seen a faily old movie called "The Time Machine"? If you seen it, doesn't this piece of work remind you of it? I think this is very beautiful.

heheh... I thought the same thing. Not to take away from this work at all, because this stands on it's own handily. I also got a hint of Oddworld in the design of the structures, which is a compliment too.

02 February 2005, 03:03 PM
wow, amazing work:thumbsup:
similar design in "the time machine"

02 February 2005, 07:31 PM
Wow, that's inspiring :D. Got lost in the image by looking at it....amazing.

02 February 2005, 07:55 PM
Salut je suis de Tahiti, ton boulot est géant ! Bravo vraiment ! :applause:
Bon comme c'est un forum anglais :

Wow great art you show here, thanks for sharing ! Truly inspirational.

By the way would you like to share more information about this image ? (thanks for the wires already)
I would like to know how much time you spent on it and most of all can you share minor tips about lighting and rendering exterior natural scenes like yours !

I know Vray, but for interior architectural lighting only, never tried the outdoor lightning, how many and what types of lights are you using (and why) ?

and a last question for your trivia :p did you modeled the trees also or is it a plug-in they're fantastic.

02 February 2005, 08:25 PM

02 February 2005, 05:26 PM
Superb! I like it. Great job, dude.

02 February 2005, 03:56 AM
It looks amazing, but has anyone noticed the uncanny similarity it bears to the civilization in the new Time Machine remake?

The theatrical trailer shows in near the middle very briefly, for those who haven't seen the movie.

02 February 2005, 05:27 PM
the lighting is so real

02 February 2005, 10:25 AM
This is really impressive, the best enviroment I ever seen. It's so magical.

02 February 2005, 05:14 PM
Greate atmosphere.

02 February 2005, 10:56 PM
How much for an apartment?

No seriously, an excellent use of space. Very unique architecture. Keep the images coming from your story.

The F.O.T.I.
02 February 2005, 01:34 PM
Wow! The amount of detail is astounding, I love the texturing, and dynamic angle used. Perhaps most I like the overall lighting. Really great stuff!

02 February 2005, 03:03 PM
great work it looks like it could be a scene from the future

02 February 2005, 08:10 AM
Veryveryveryvery nice!! :bounce:

It kinda gives a feeling like that country from the movie Timemachine...really a dreamy kind of world ;)

02 February 2005, 02:05 AM
can I move in here... I realy like the scene... do you have a demo real of the world yet..? that place is awsome...

02 February 2005, 09:04 AM
very impressive, i love the cityscape. I've recently seen a mentalray technique that might look cool on that water, long render time, but very worth it.

eL Violento
02 February 2005, 05:40 PM
Awesome job... congrats!!! i would like to know the render time... cya!

02 February 2005, 08:57 PM
wow wonderful work. i love the mood of this picture and the inspiration. But the water seems a little strange. may be there is (for me :) a little bit to noise or other i don't really now... otherwise it is a Good Job !

02 February 2005, 03:14 AM
Very nice distancing.I love it.

02 February 2005, 01:05 PM

YOU are very good!
I'm chinese,my english is very poor,sorry:shrug:

02 February 2005, 01:24 PM
A quite excellent piece of work here. Very majestic and flowing yet it looks like it could be real. I certantly would love to stand on one of those overlooks. These would make excellent posters, very top-notch stuff. Your other work is of similar quality, make posters!

Is the environment whole or just this side? If it is whole please post more views!

The only thing that looks kinda funny is the water, it looks like a plastic surface instead of water due to the size of the ripples.
02 February 2005, 04:13 PM
Beautiful environment, all the details fit so nicely into your idea. I also really like where you placed the camera. I am wondering if you should push the tints a little more it over all feels like a green wash has been put over it, just a thought.

Great work!

02 February 2005, 05:05 AM
Weihua兄真是厉害 有空到国内的网站上发点你的东西啊 让我们大家也学习学习你

02 February 2005, 06:12 AM

02 February 2005, 07:13 PM
