View Full Version : reversing normal problems
Without findin anything related to my problem with a cursory search of this forum, Here is my question.
I've tried reversing and re-reversing normals and using two-sided lighting and shutting off hardware texturing and setting to dog gone face and restarting my computer. But I get the same problem over and over. It seems like it reverses the lights for some strange reason. It's hilaaarious. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Please.

Have you tried averaging normals/hardening normals/conforming normals? Also have you looked in the attribute editor and made sure the model is double sided (in the render stats section).
When you reverse the normals, does the section that's invisible become visible and vice versa?
Try unlocking the normals too.

Edit Polygons, Normals, Set to Face.
Did try setting to the meshugennah face; did not try unlocking, averaging, hardening, or conforming normals. Will do so in that order. Thanks guys, frustration is more fun with friends who feel your pain.
