Hello, I'm mainly posting for some help on what I should/need to do with a character that I'm creating for my animated short. This is a baby dinosaur, sort of a Gollum character, capable of looking cute, and also pretty ferocious (with some fun morph targets). I'm at the point where I want to set up UV's and texture him. I modelled him with his legs pointing straight down (stretched out, toes pointing straight down) and his arms coming out of his body at a 45 degree angle (stretched out) but I modelled the neck in the S curve that you can see in the image. Do I need to remodel the neck (and parts of the back) so that the neck is completly straight? It would certainly help with setting up UV's (having the ability to put a cylindrical map around the body/neck). But is this also important for skinning, having the neck in that neutral pose to start off?
A note on the image, there is no skinning finished yet, thats why theres bad creasing on the arms/legs. And this wip image is missing a couple little details, like nostrils, but they've all been added since.
Thanks for any information you can supply, I appreciate it, I'm a bit confused with what I should do next.
