Late nights, earily mornings, jet lag.... and I have produced something like that:
a lot of fun with XSI Foundation;)

Hot damn, that's very professional! :thumbsup: Nice. Is there any WIP here at CGTalk?
(hint: when you compress your Quicktime file you should have somekind of "prepare for streaming" option, which means that the file can be played back in a browser while the rest downloads...)

This is great, The textures are excellent. I like how he spits when he speaks and the saliva stretching in in his mouth. good job.

The stills look very good, I like your sense of life within the Character. I havent seen the animation yet still downloading it, but before hand id like to say good job.
Im recentley moving to XSI , how long you been working in it?

I have been working on XSI for last 1-2 months.
Trying to figure my way out in this soft.
Seems really neat .
the renderer could have been little bit faster though...

Caught the WIP over at xsibase but the new animation rocks! I love the cut between the first sentence and the second, very MTV ;)
The lipsynch seems like it might be a frame or two late all the way through, often found this to be a problem with quicktimes though, so it might be that. Some of the lipsynch movement is slightly linear in places, though overall the emphasis of sounds works well, and you've certainly caught the feeling of the sound clip. The movement, rigging and animated bump maps are great! And you have a gorgeous render quality to the skin.
This is definitely front page worthy for me - short but sweet!

I think the timing of the lipsync is pretty good, you can check the line, "big time", this should be pretty sharp with the sound. if its not, then its a QT player ;)

How did you the crinkles over the upper lips? Very good to see by (he, she, it?:) ) opening the mounth! Did you used Bumpmap, Displacement or other techique ??

Core|x, majority of the wrinkles, are just bump maps, with intensity driven by mouth/brows shapes. these kind of driven keys are great in XSI, and so easy to control.

awesome animation!! lip sych is perfect. i love how his whole face moves with the dialogue, and the spit makes it.
beautiful texture/lighting and the moisture on the skin.

Hey man, great look on the character there, the shapes work quite nicely as well!
The lip sync is really quite solid, the only thing that really stands out to me is his ears there, they should have a little more flop to them (they look like fairly thick, rubbery bands that I picture sort of flopping about when he swings his head around).
Other than that, Nothing else stands out to me :) Look forward to seeing this character progress!

pretty hot.. My crit is that the volume of the lips seems very rigid. It would add a lot to have the lips compress and expand depending on how tight his mouth is. Great work.

I was playing mainly with spine deformer for facial animation here.
Im looking into the control spine rig now, gives much more possibilites..;)

I don't wanna sound negative, but the only thing that I think looks weird is that it looks like he's using a 'B' when saying such a strong 'V' in very. :shrug:

U know what I think about it. I like the second part of animation mostly, but it really looks pretty. I like the character a lot though!

better than motion pictures I've seen recently. I especially like the spitting and the eye movement...very nice.
