hi ! is there something in maya like parray in max , I would like to know how to make object fragments from a polygon to convert them to particles

It's a bit tricky using geometry with particles in Maya. At least it's not like other packages. However the Shatter script can be used to fragment solid geometry for use in a dynamics simulation. The advantage of this approach is you'll be able to get proper geometry collision and not be restricted to purely particle collision (which is often the case with instanced geometry). The only headache is that because it's a rigid body sim and not dumb particles your iterations can be a bit slower and harder to control.
