I wanted to ask you,

Who do you guys think is among the best Screenplay writers?

Among them Movies that for me stand out are:(in no particular order)

Francis Ford Coppola: Patton
Charlie Kaufman ( : Being John Malkovich
Andrew Niccol ( :The Truman Show
Dan O'Bannon ( :Alien
Kevin Jarre ( : Glory
Bruce Robinson ( :The Killing Fields
Oliver Stone (;fc=1;ft=20;fm=1) :Wall Street
Joseph Stefano ( :Psycho
Christopher McQuarrie ( : The Usual Suspects
Rod Sterling: The Twilight Zone

William Goldman - One of the true greats.

James Cameron - for obvious reasons
David Koepp (;fc=1;ft=9;fm=1) - (Jurassic Park 1/2, Panic Room, Spiderman, Mission Impossible), he's one of the studio favourites, but he's come up with some awesome action set pieces. Credit where its due.

Some of them are also directors...but their writing skills are fantastic
