View Full Version : Smooth bind limb pulls away from body

I have been having a problem with skinning. Every time I smooth bind my character and go to move a limb, the skeleton will move faster than the geometry. The geometry will catch up and snap back into place, but this doesn't last too long before Maya crashes. Any ideas?

the geometry sounds likes it multipart... eg.. you've combined several pieces together using combine... if this is the case.. and you want to keep the geometry together... try effecting the pivot of the geometry to 0,0,0 then binding.. otherwise the sure fire winner is to seperate all the pieces.. and bind them individually... not sure if this is whats causin your problem thou
