Hi all,

I found this incredible tutorial on spaceship modelling:

However it's for lightwave and I want to do it in XSI. Problem is I don't know how to make steps 4 and on (the thing with create polygon on top of another)...

Any help would be really apprecitead...

here is the way i know how to do what your wanting.
1. If you have manipulators enabled under the transform pull down, select your poly face and right click.
2 select inset poly and you get a property page to adjust the genric size.

also if you want a new poly there without being connected to the original you can slect the face and right click and select duplicate poly (Keep) to keep your old one too. but it will be in exactly the same place so you will need to resize manually.

good luck

on second thought it might not matter to have manipulators active. it just way easier to model for most people not coming for soft3d
