? Did you install the .NET Framework when the installer invited you to do it? It sounds like you may not have. (You can check if you installed it by seeing if it's listed in the control panel's Add/Remove Programs list.) You can either run the installer again, or if you prefer to download the installer manually from Microsoft's site, you can do so by clicking the download button found at the right side of this page: (

Why do we need to install NET framework?

The .NET Framework is a collection of programming libraries written by Microsoft. Our software uses these libraries for tons of tasks. As just one example, our software uses the JPEG saver that is included in .NET to export JPEG images.

In addition, the .NET Framework contains a virtual machine that is used by programs written in .NET languages, such as C# (which is the case with our software). Similarly to how a program written in Java requires people to have installed the Java Virtual Machine, a program written in these languages needs the virtual machine that comes with the .NET Framework.

The reason we leave the .NET Framework as a seperate download rather than downloading it all at once is that now Microsoft includes the .NET Framework already installed on new Windows computers, and therefore an ever growing number of people already have it installed and therefore wouldn't need to download it again.

If you have any questions about this, please let me know.
