12 December 2004, 04:04 PM
Hey, we have the same russian-made underground wagons here in Hungary:)
Flawless picture, 5 stars from me.
12 December 2004, 04:53 PM
Impressive work, really very good texturing and lighting, congratulations. Only i see one thing, the graffity of the right door it,s the same that the end exit door.
Congratulations for the five stars!!!
12 December 2004, 05:54 PM
Respect from me! 5stars
12 December 2004, 06:13 PM
That is damn good. 5 star!
12 December 2004, 07:34 PM
Very nice work! You should come and see the underground after 6pm in London!
12 December 2004, 07:40 PM
I love your subway. It must be a great source of urban decayed textures ;)
the only comment that I have regards the red bag at the left of the frame.
I think that by removing it your frame will look way better or maybe slightly changing its color..cause it's so red that it captures the eye and keeps it there, if you know what I mean. It distracts they eye from the other scenery.
other than that it's great! well done!
12 December 2004, 08:28 PM
Supremacy:"Hey, we have the same russian-made underground wagons here in Hungary"
Lol whe have same in Warsaw. They use to be noise generators here :)
Agreed with Segmoria + this bag scared me - terrorists could strike everywhere ;)
12 December 2004, 10:38 PM
good render !!! nice
12 December 2004, 11:29 PM
Only i see one thing, the graffity of the right door it,s the same that the end exit door.I don't see a problem with this, it looks like a tag that spring up everywhere. There's one on the London underground that is almost absolutely everywhere. Great piece of work, reminds me of a piece in a digital lighting & rendering book, although in this case, there's no hippo in the carriage. :)
12 December 2004, 12:32 AM
that's an amazing render! Super realistic. Textures are great. but like everyone said the bag looks to clean and red.
12 December 2004, 02:34 AM
front page stuff...
12 December 2004, 02:53 AM
12 December 2004, 03:27 AM
It is true that the eye goes for the red bag at some point but the challenge of this piece seems to be realism and in reality it's very much possible that there is a big red bag in that exact same spot.
But if you were creating an "artistically correct" image I would say the bag would have to go.
You are the boss.
12 December 2004, 05:06 AM
Awesome. Excellent work. The only things that stick out to me are...
1. the lighting on the newspapers dont seem to fit.
2. Two bottles on the right side of the image are casting ray traced shadows down and to the right.judging by the direction, the source light for that ray traced would be covered by the seat next to the bottles. I dont feel that the row of flourecent lights would cast that harsh of a shadow in a single direction.
this is just really nitpicky stuff, I still really think its great! :)
12 December 2004, 05:09 AM
You captured the gritty feel of the city underground quite well here. I think the red bag fits as it offsets the red above the right door, though because of the angle of the walkway the bag does grab your attention easily. Really though it's nothing unusual. Only thing I would have to say is since you're on a train I don't know if that bottle in the center would really be able to stand up like that for very long. Some broken glass scattered here and there would be a nice touch too. I look forward to seeing more great works from you :)
12 December 2004, 05:45 AM
Great pic! I have to think there is no way that beer bottle would be able to stay standing unless that train has been standing still for a long time. Great floor texture, do the cars really look like that? I would have expected a industrial carpet or steel or something kinda white.
Amazing texturing. I love it!
12 December 2004, 10:54 AM
Wow...thats the first word that come's in my mind maan..Realy very nice work...lighting ,modeling ,textureing -evry thing is G8 ..Keep it up .................
C&C : * Like to see aluminium criscross texture on floor
* Remove the polybag on the lower left side from the secene..evry thing else ROCKS:thumbsup:
12 December 2004, 01:07 PM
excellent ambiance !
12 December 2004, 01:19 PM
Hi Alexey (http://www.cgtalk.com/member.php?u=130055)!!
The light is not very good! It can improve! Some details, as the bag and periodicals... still can improve!
 good work and good luck!
12 December 2004, 02:59 PM
I think changing the lighting could help this scene a lot. Its so close to perfection :D
12 December 2004, 03:11 PM
Excellent. Love the attention to detail, nice render bro.
12 December 2004, 05:17 PM
nice nice nice!!!
12 December 2004, 08:21 PM
Amazing work!
Post the wires, please :)
12 December 2004, 12:18 AM
If u wanted to show the underground railway y didnt u just take a photo, save ur self some serious 3d time hehe.
good work, the red bag is too red, colors are not as saturated in real life. check that.
12 December 2004, 12:24 AM
Nice! How about taking the colour saturation down a bit? I think that would give it a much better feel--much more appropriate to the environment.
12 December 2004, 12:34 AM
Thanks Alexey -- GREAT! The graffiti doesn't look too repetitive for me - it's common enough for the same tag to appear in several places in the same location...
12 December 2004, 12:39 AM
Сделана очень красиво, хорошая работа!
Чиста русский underground 5*****
12 December 2004, 12:43 AM
12 December 2004, 12:47 AM
Awesome work! :D
The picture looks very familiar though. I saw something similiar in a book on texturing.
Real nice work!
12 December 2004, 01:21 AM
Rock solid work! Love it!
12 December 2004, 01:55 AM
WoW, Thats some really nice rendering...!!!
As well as the bag and lighting comments already made, I would just say that I think the chrome of the hold bars on the ceiling look a little too reflective. I would suggest a bit more blur on the reflection.
Just being hyper-picky for hyper-real image ;)
5 Stars dude
12 December 2004, 03:21 AM
Awesome. Incredible. I could name many things that are really good about this image one that stands out is the smudges on the window, details like that really make this image look awesome. Would like to see some wires. Keep up the good work some of the best ives seen should make front page.
12 December 2004, 03:53 AM
Stunning work Man!
It has a familiar atmosphere to me. We have the same type of wagons here in Budapest (Hungary). Incredible touches in detail like fingerprints or something and scratches on the doorwindow (2nd pic). Only two things disturbe me a bit: I guess you use too reflective covers. Somehow it doesn't fit to the 'dirty place' feelnig. Secondly there is too bright textures in some places. For instances the sidecovers of the seats. That green fake wood stuf is too bright for me.
Anyway awesome pictures. Five stars from me of course!
Keep it up!
12 December 2004, 04:12 AM
very nice work!
but i think the whole image looks to clean in a way... everything almost looks new!!! the sides of the seats look perfectly clean. maybe place some damage on parts, stains/rips in seats and/or damage in some joints.
any liquade spilling from the bottles? wouldn't individual pages from the newspaper be pushed out of place too? the news papers are perfectly together...
I also agree alot about finger prints and smudges on windows and hand rails and even seating? I also agree about the bottles still standing up!
anyhow just some thoughts/ideas, thats all i can think of for now ;)
12 December 2004, 05:05 AM
Wow, I dream with a image like that every time I take a train :lightbulb . Fabulous pic
12 December 2004, 05:49 AM
12 December 2004, 08:19 AM
Very close to photoreal! The only thing I recon is that if you were to take a picture of those wagons you wouldn't probably be able to see any details on the lights on the ceiling...? due to the exposure etc... of a camera... right? Anyway, we also have those wagons in the Czech Republic, well, at least the old ones imported from the great Soviet Union :scream: :D Well, to put it simple http://www.cgtalk.com/images/rating/rating_5.gif from me!
12 December 2004, 09:54 AM
 wonderful work and beautiful textures and details !
12 December 2004, 10:15 AM
Congratulations for your excelling work. :applause:
12 December 2004, 10:46 AM
I'm usually not a big fan of this kind of thing, but I must say that this image has PERSONALITY and style, it's not just the usual GI-rendered blah-de-blah.
I love it, good work.
12 December 2004, 11:18 AM
I would of thought the windows would be a bit more dirty. Still looks choice tho...
12 December 2004, 11:42 AM
12 December 2004, 11:52 AM
Nothing more to add... superb work with modelling and lightning. Congrats :D Though it does look a little bit too flashy and reflective... especially the doors, walls and the ceiling.
PS. I'm in Prague at the moment and I confirm... they have the same kind of trains here :]
12 December 2004, 11:56 AM
very impressive work
12 December 2004, 01:28 PM
impresive work man!
hehe and cool motive to do it too.
12 December 2004, 03:13 PM
Amazing work! Five stars!
12 December 2004, 05:18 PM

Would you like see my 2D Challenge Concepts & CİTİES and creature
12 December 2004, 06:17 PM
good work, and very close to original
but that vagon-metro to brightly.. I think would be better, if light was more dim

Opa! Molodec, vizu, cto rabota na urovne !Cvetovaja gamma prijatnaja i net, slava Bogu ,nikakogo,, lubka i hohlomi,,A cto tam za opasnij meshocek?
12 December 2004, 01:36 PM
This is a great work!
Just like an illustration in a novel.....:applause:
But personally i think maybe it's too bright?
12 December 2004, 03:30 PM
Sweet Render! Very close to photoreal. Smudges on the windows at the far end are a great touch. I would only change the appearance of the "brand new" looking seats and the extremely clean reflection of the ceiling (very aparent above the closest door on the right). Other than that, really amazing job.
12 December 2004, 03:31 PM
Wow! thiss is really good!
I can only dream of making that kind of stuff (and will be dreaming of it for a long time to come i guess :D)
Really detailed scene you've got there! 5 star!
12 December 2004, 05:42 PM
excellent work dude! the details had impressed me
very realistic, congrats!
12 December 2004, 10:18 PM
very nice nice textures everythink looks great:)
12 December 2004, 01:44 AM
well done. I thought New York was the only city with dirty cars
12 December 2004, 03:11 AM
That is damn good.
12 December 2004, 04:14 AM
12 December 2004, 07:09 AM
coooooooooooooooooool work dude...
12 December 2004, 11:21 AM
that is really cool..i like the chrome and the lighting....
12 December 2004, 11:26 AM
Amazing textures and lightining!!
One of the bests 3D interior I'v seen!
12 December 2004, 03:25 PM
I like the surreal aspect of your work, but wonder if you could improve the piece with different lighting effects or softer colours. They all seem in places too vibrant. Russian trains seem surreal, from what I remember anyway, but maybe thats because you have to travel down enormously long escalators and feel like something from a Jules Verne novel when you get to the bottom.
I spent time in Russia as a kid (School Language exchange). It's nice to know things haven't changed on the litter front.
I would try and render a London underground scene, but after the thousandth piece of waste, I'd give it up as a bad job. Too much like hard work J/K.
12 December 2004, 05:11 PM
fantastic!, lil bit dark in my monitor....
12 December 2004, 08:47 PM
Hey this is my first time on this forum and I have to say one thing that gets me is how you guys do the reflections, The way you reflected the light off the windows is really neat.
but I new and may not know a lot.
12 December 2004, 12:42 AM
Good job, I'd rather walk then take that thing! Nice depiction of what it really looks like-
12 December 2004, 06:21 AM
Realy fantastic, but ur russian underground is like up of the ground in iran!!!
have some travel here and u will find more ideas to make undergrounds!!!
5 star by me;)
12 December 2004, 07:35 PM
Nice, that's 3D-shooter ready! :-P Btw, was this design based on the real metro-wagon type? I mean would you implement all small details?

12 December 2004, 09:44 AM
some of our underground trains looks pretty much the same. nice drawing.
12 December 2004, 03:34 PM
Very nice for me, but i think about the metals near the seat are very shiny. The wagon is old but the steel are very shiny. A little rust are welcome.
12 December 2004, 09:22 PM
good texturing and lighting, maybe just maybe too much lighting around the lamps
but great "look and feel" of the place
12 December 2004, 08:57 AM
Great work ! 5 stars
12 December 2004, 08:57 AM
Nice splines ! Good extrude ! Well photo on it.
And you suppose this grate work?
12 December 2004, 05:31 PM

Really good attention to detail, 5 Stars!
12 December 2004, 03:18 PM
Hi, that is a very nice "metro" I know it from my usuall rides in my home town :) Not to see only in russia or hungary, but even in Czech republic. These russian subways are fascinating to me. all rspkt 2 U. :) CU-k82
(working on a subway project, just give me a plenty of time :))))))))
12 December 2004, 07:30 AM
This picture is pretty cool
12 December 2004, 10:13 AM
I like the way you worked the textures mate.
12 December 2004, 07:06 PM
This is awesome. I love the textures you used, especially the leather seats.Very realistic. Very convincing.
12 December 2004, 09:07 PM

12 December 2004, 01:02 PM
Texturing is awesome, got no crits.
12 December 2004, 06:16 PM
Extremely cool work! But what a mess! Somebody should clean up:thumbsup:
01 January 2005, 05:50 PM
Really great work.
Do they really keep thier chromework so clean in Russia?
Is it really that bright overall? Tube trains in London seem a touch dimmer.
I love the vibrant colour of this exquisit render.
4.999 stars from me:thumbsup:
01 January 2005, 09:04 PM
Klassnaya rabota, sdelano ochen horosho! A skolko vremeny ono schitalos? ;)

01 January 2005, 06:12 PM
i like your colors and materials, they make me feel:twisted:
01 January 2005, 08:44 PM
Отлично сделано!!!... только у тебя спинка сидения плавно перетекает в седушку, а на самом деле они раздельные=)... а в остальном просто отличная работа=))))))
01 January 2005, 08:22 AM
Realy amazing one! Sometimes I do wish to do something of this kind with our troleys. ;)
01 January 2005, 07:19 PM
Great texturing an ambientation (reflections, refractions, ilumination),  , only crit it's about the shadows of the bottles particularly the three of the front at the right side, it looks like they are receivng from a strong source of light at the end of the wagon that is inexistent, and in the two bottles near the door it's phisichaly impossible to be afected from that poit because the seat.
Besides i wish i could do something so good as the work you done here :)
01 January 2005, 12:12 AM
When I was growing up (here in USA), whenever someone wanted to show the Soviet Union wasn't all bad they'd dig up a picture of the Moscow subway, which looked like a palace with shiny marble and gold chandeliers.
So are you telling me the subways don't really look like palaces?
01 January 2005, 12:14 AM
nice job , this is a way for remembering Resident evil3 nemesis train .
I like this job .
U know what I mean ... !
01 January 2005, 12:45 AM

01 January 2005, 12:49 AM
what one post and a award in the same time man you are something ,
great work bytheway very realistic
01 January 2005, 02:55 AM
Damn nice subway car.
Is there a bomb in that red bag...tell a MTA emplyee or a police officer if there is anything suspicious.
If I were to SOMEHOW come up with a problem with this image, I would make the train car a TAD wider, and add metal poles in the middle. I'm in NYC, and every car has vertical poles to grab in the middle of the ailes.
Great stuff mate.
01 January 2005, 02:09 AM
Great job! Love the detail and lighting. Graffiti could have been alittle more creative, but over all really good work. Keep it up!
01 January 2005, 11:21 AM
u got the highest mark *****

01 January 2005, 03:29 PM
Nice work  Alexey! Good eye for detail nice lighting. I like how you can see out the window on the right and see another train there. The red bag does tend to grab the eye! Maybe a good spot for your logo? Nice work man!
01 January 2005, 08:20 AM
