View Full Version : XSI to LW with Polytrans

I am using Polytrans to convert XSI files to LW. I am having trouble getting the textures to convert ( for instance, when it is plugged into the diffuse slot), especially when the same texture is used multiple times in the same material. It doesn't seem to be consistent.

It seems to be how the .xsi converts things.

I am also using cubic projections on most things, and it looks like it converts everything to planer.

Is there anything that tells how things will convert to .xsi, and what will not?

For instance I found that area lights don't convert, so I turned them off. And also it uses the color value instead of the intensity, so I had to make that change.

Have you tried the .XSI exporter that Mark Wilson wrote for LW

Well, I don't have LW, my client has LW. I'm using XSI, and I just bought Polytrans.

I guess my first questoin is: Isn't their any docs on how XSI exports to .xsi, what exports- what doesn't-what things does it change?

Download the FTK it should include docs and samples on how DotXSi works
