WOW, Goro! That is amazing work!
This topic hits a little close to home this week. A really close friend and co-worker of my sister's was killed this week by a crazed road-rage guy who mistook him for a different car that cut Road Rage man off in traffic. Mr. Road-rage guy ran our friend, Kent off the road, got him out of his car and beat him (sucker-punched him in the back of the head, really) with a huge belt buckle wrapped around his fist, causing Kent irreversible brain damage. Kent died 5 days later from the brain injuries he sustained. He never regained consciousness. Its a very sad story and Road Rage is a very real problem here in the US's larger cities. Road-Rage man fled the scene and they are still looking for him. There is a reward out for info leading to him.
I think I may just sit this one out - but please feel free to be creative and expressive about this topic. Kent was a wonderful man and he'd want everyone to just keep on with their lives - live, laugh and have fun.
A link to the newspaper story (http://www.dfw.com/mld/startelegram/news/local/10276018.htm) and a picture of Kent.

robinayles Im so sorry to hear that. Its amazing what people will do to get someplace faster, and when they dont they do things they shouldnt. I hope they find that basterd ASAP.
& goro nice work there. I might post somthing later today.

Robin, I'm speechless. I'm sorry for your loss.

hi all, i hope this amuses some people...

Nam GEE, that's just too cute!

Thanks, guys. I didn't mean to be a total bummer on this thread. Sorry about that.
And JARhead, I couldn't agree with you more about finding the bastard! Unfortunately, here in the DFW area there are lots of chop shops that cut up cars, etc. and sell the parts across the border in Mexico. I would hazard a guess that Road-Rage Man's blue pickup truck is now in pieces in Mexico.
Nam GEE, I really like that one! Its similar to the spark of an idea that I got when I first saw the topic for today.
Goro, can you draw virtually anything?.
Nam GEE that's really funny - how long did it take and using what app? And robinayles, I thought about drawing the same thing. Sorry to hear that which has happened.

Goro - Terrific as usual - the image reads as a frozen moment - a millisecond after some fateful miscalculation. Totally convincing!

photoshop/wacom - 2 hours (I'm NEW)http://www.slothkungfu.com/thefu/sketches/road%20rage.jpg
This is a number of firsts for me - first sketch on a computer, first sketch with a wacom tablet, first post in the daily sketch forum (or on CGTalk for that matter). I really want to learn to draw and the daily sketch motivates and inspires me http://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/smile.gif You all are amazing!
BTW - Nam GEE, hat was the first thing I thought of too, angry roads. Then I heard robinayles story and decided to go a different direction.

Robin  I feel sorry for you
Goro...Damn...is that blur added by yourself? or is it some kind of filter

Ps7 + Wacom 2 hours

This thread is too bleak. I figured I'd better post something witty and uplifting... sorry to all for failing :) But it's late and I want to go to bed ;)
about 30 min, PS+wacom
...maybe someday I'll touch it up...but probably not :O

I like yours, Goro.
Robin, your story is very sad... My sister was close to be killed two years ago in a situation in a highway, one unknown man get her car out of the road and she crashed (at 100 mph) very hard. He didn't stopped to help her or to see is she was alive, and police didn't find him later. My sister doesn't remember anything, model car or details... My sister's car was copletely destroyed but she was lucky and get out of the crash with no harm - a real miracle!
Now let's go with our sketches. This is mine, 25 min, 3D ref used, photoshop & wacom

Hi all :)
as usually, you can see the process here (http://ofunil.akenar.com/%BBvarios/DS181-Road-rage-Process.gif)
Robin That's a sad story...I feel sorry about your loss.
Nam that little angry road rocks ;)
MtFR hehe thnx for the kind words....well I wish I could :( but I'll have to paint a loooot more!
Thnx Gordonm,Jeremyi, Got!
Cyanid I didn't paint the motionblur. I used 2 different blurs for that pic. The directional motionblur filter for the red car, and another radial zoomblur for the blue car. Then I also used a zoomblur on the bg but only partial. So the skyscrapers in the bg are not blurred.
Thnx telemaco! Like your's as well
keep it up guys!

Hey people. Really good sketches so far.
I think mines too special to actually be understood. The idea was to let a broken hourglass fall with the frontlights of a car be reflected in the glass. Got somewhat inspired by your story robin, sad to hear that.
Oh yeah, took 2 hours with mouse and PS.

I'm very sorry if I put a damper on this thread, that wasn't my intent.
Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. Special thanks for your tributes, zeromorph and aghill. I also really appreciate the humorous ones to lighten up the mood Gunslinger & Candaloo.
aghill - I understood yours right away, no explanation needed. Very thought provoking, and really nice execution as well.
Again, good work to those who posted - and let's all be more cheerful on the next thread. OK?

@MtFR i did this in photoshop with an Wacom tablet and it took me about 1h 30m,
nice work here everyone :)
Here's my interpretation of this theme. Most of us surely had some frustrating times when in school. So at least on paper we're kicking their asses back, like this one here :buttrock:
Photoshop 7, mouse, 3 hours.

This is officially the most used and more effective use of sign language used on the road—at least here in the US. Turn left, turn right, Nah, More like get out of the way. Enjoy.
