Well this is what I could come up with by now...
Hope you like it! =)
OpenCanvas/Tablet/ About an hour...

12-01-2004, 09:24 PM
maybe i should take some traditional art classes, cause well... i can't draw worth beans.

PS 7.0 ~25 minutes standard brush (yes, only one brush, i'm n00b)

it's suposed to be a scarecrow and some corn, but well, it didn't work out too well.

12-01-2004, 11:02 PM
firendship at its best :D

if you don't understand just say and i'll explain

20mins PS7.0 + mouse, this would have looked better had i had a tablet :(

12-01-2004, 11:04 PM
Delarosa - you are too hard on yourself. For someone with no training in art, that is very good. I could easily tell what it is. Taking classes will help, but also, just keep practicing.

Okay Twoozzok - you are on...what the heck does it mean?

12-02-2004, 12:26 AM
about 20 minutes total. Alias sketch, and photoshop. I tried to not use lines to sketch this time.. not sure if i like it. But oh well. Here is my contribution for the day. =]

12-02-2004, 12:38 AM
Lord Blue, love the dreamlike quality of the image! Like a very distant memory.

Hope, I'll have something to show later tonight.

12-02-2004, 03:26 AM
Just a monkey and his sandwich. You know how it is.

About 10 minutes ps. No time today!

12-02-2004, 05:04 AM
Here's my take. It was really wierd to do something this sappy, but I guess that's the point of this exercise. about 1:30. Photoshop, Wacom

12-02-2004, 05:10 AM
Best friends...

Didn't come out nearly as well as I would have liked - about 2 hours PS/Wacom. This is my grandson and his baby sister, and they really are best friends! Used ref.

Wow, FridayEve - that looks awesome!

The Gunslinger
12-02-2004, 08:28 AM

PS, Wacom, about an hour and a half.

I'm thinking of doing another version of this because about 3/4 of the way through I had another idea of a similar drawing... but different perspective and such.

But I think it's kind of cute.

On a side note, FridayEve, I've not been able to see the last 3 drawings you submitted and it's rather disheartening :( I like seeing your stuff. I've tried loading up the address in my browser and that doesn't work either. As I said... very disheartening.

(on another side, this is my first post in the daily sketch...)

Hello! First post here in the daily sketch forum. About 90 minutes, Photoshop.

12-02-2004, 01:02 PM
Woah Lord Blue, exactly the pic i had in my head :) Wonderfully done

The Gunslinger
12-02-2004, 01:40 PM

This is better than my first, I think.

About 3 hrs, PS + Wacom. The idea came a lot faster than the finishing ;)

I desaturated it a lot... it had started out being a lot brighter and more pink and stuff. But I thought the saturation level and the colour output made this image look more... desperate and sad. I like this one a lot more than my earlier one.

Hey Matt, hope you stick around.
Great expressions on the girl and bunny, wonderful technique. Love it!

Good work everybody!

Looks like I had a similar thoughts as MattDixon and Gunslinger (nice work both!)... but it was all my daughter's fault... she told me to sketch her and her friend ans their two favorite stuffed animals, heh heh. I was working on a different image and then my wife came down and asked how the sketch was going and that our daughter was waiting to see it online... gulp... so I hurried up and did this one below... heh...

12-02-2004, 07:48 PM
Gosh, thanks folks!

Jesse, your animation is really fun, I like it!

MAtt - welcome to the group, and what a wonderful first sketch! That is great!
