is there a solution to calculate the spread (ink outline) of an object based on its distance from the camera? the toon ink lens has a spread function, but when objects are further away they use the same thickness, and become too thick...

It was a while ago that I watched them, but I'm pretty sure that Todd Akita demonstrated a way to deal with this in his Toon tutorials on I seem to remember a train track going into the background and a trick in the rendertree to control ink width...
