This is the gate where all the ships should come from, sure hope i will make it in time only 22 days to go.
My comp is allmost overheating because of the rendertime (need more ram) or a complete renderfarm would be nice, happy to be in this challenge, my 3d spirit feeds from all the great work of all the great artists posts and images.
I have a dream...yeah you know the rest, but mine is that maybe some day my skills could be just as great as those awsome artists in this site, ill be happy to do so in just 20 years.
Arrhggghhh..hammering my head into the wall because of the insane prices on the best 3d progs like (maya)(3dmax)(cinema4d)the next alltime artist will be an 3d artist..i am sure, picasso didnt had a 100$ penzil or a 1000$ frame.
Ohh.. yes this is the gate maybe needing a little paint and detail work, and just a handfull of ships and maybe some old big evil space monsters, that is atacking evrything and lasers and explosions..Imagine..

This is a freigther, one of many ships.
The idea is to generate an armada of different spaceships, and allso a warpgate.
Any critique is apriciated, and new ideas or somthing like that.

Hi there and welcome to the challenge, hope you´ll enjoy.

As to comments, I need to know a little more to say anything. But a fleed of spaceships, is always good. As for the model, the overall design looks interesting, but still lots of work need to be done I think, mainly in detailing it.

A late merry christmas, I wish you as well.

Ok details yes could use some more of em, but still a newbee on that field, working with cinema4d, only got hold of half the interface, trying to get bodypaint to work as well as the tex layer, thinking on jumping over to 3d max, but this is a little to late for this great challenge, i dont ewen have fotoshop for fx and backgrounds, this will be a long shoot then, thanks for the reply.
Nice statement a little like carpe diem.

I like what your doing with this. Have you thought of combining it with either particles, or maybe some sort of post effect?

Hi again

Thx for the comments in my thread. About your ideas, there will be alot more stuff in the final picture, I´m really not sure I will be able to change any plans at this moment(too late).

I like the gate, but you should try some particles as already mentioned.

Men er en vigtig "reklame" for dit arbejde.
Held og lykke i konkurrencen. -og godt nytår:)

A particle emmiter is what I was reffering to.
