View Full Version : can Fxtree be piped into Render Tree?

I was wondering if there was a way to pipe the end result of an Fx Tree directly into the Render tree as a texture without having to pre-render the fx tree? I like the idea of using the power of the fx tree to generate the texture maps and make changes realtime on the fly without having to wait for any renders.

yes, in the FXTree you can pick up any clip and it will appear as 2 nodes.
from clip and to clip.

anything happening inbetween will affect the clip as it's seen by XSI.
this means that not only it will render out fine, but that you will actually see the processed results into OGL textured.
