How does one view a poly's normal, and how does one reverse it? Searching the documentation was agonizingly fruitless.

Viewing... Above any viewport LMB the Eye icon... select normals (or polygon normals) and then select the object that you want to view.

Inverting... Select your polymesh... in the main left hand toolbar:
Model>Modify>Poly Mesh>Invert Polygons

Similar for Surfaces: Model>Modify>Surf Mesh>Invert Normals

Always try right-clicking on component selections if you're looking for a command. This will give you a context menu that will hopefully have what you're looking for (in terms of an operation like Invert Normals anyways).

Oh, and if for some reason you're using the Soft 3D selection mode, you have to Alt-rclick, I think.
