View Full Version : Cook-Torrance material - a little tip....

11 November 2004, 08:52 PM
Just found this out - wanted to save anyone else the pain and suffering should it happen to them. If you add the Cook-Torrance shader to a model, realize that the DEFAULT settings on the Specular>Refraction are much higher than 1.0 (9.0, 8.0 and 5.0 on R, G, and B) - if you go sliding the sliders around, your specular will gradually disappear with each slider movement as the sliders only have a range of 0 to 1. Made me crazy until I noticed that little detail..... OK - crazier .....
