hah. there should be more abbreviations in the topic list

this is hardly a sketch, merely a doodle. But I like the colors and the loose style myself and I hope I'm not the only one on that one :)

cool entries so far!

FridayEve: you become quickly well known around, love your work
Cyanid: Great character! His arm looks a lil flat.
LordApophis: looks like the war is over for him :) looks a little blurred tho.
Kvaalen: that's how I like them best. hot and steamy. goodbye liberation.
mcchesney: welcome! regarding your work, you look like a nice addition to the members list of the sketch group! Great to have you here, welcome. I like your first the most but I also do like the second. Simple and effective.

What are you thankful for?
i am so thankful for this sketch group, it has made me remember one thing that has always been there inside of me trying to get out, and how to let it out. thank you all... and great work everyone :) 1:45 photoshop cs, references for turkey, kubrick helmet "full metal jacket" and reference for weapon from google. that's too cool, vitriolic, I'd almost ask you a higher res version and run off to the copy shop to print it and stick it up my door.

the font doesn't fit completely imo..

11 November 2004, 04:55 PM
Thanks, Garma! I do like your new loose style.
Soup - man, I think its too late for that turkey! And your drawings are getting better all the time. I guess working on the Opera is good for you!
MtFR - really good sketch, love it - and very funny too!
Vitriolic - WOW! Knocked me right outta my chair, dude! I think you have the winner! Yes, please post a link to a hi-res version!! Just a note: Could you maybe make your sketches a bit shorter vertically? I can't fit it all on my 17" screen. :(
mcchesney - welcome to the board...and with TWO great sketches. Really nice!
Logick - love that helmet on the turkey!

Everyone else - super great topic, one of my recent favorites!

11 November 2004, 09:23 PM
thanks guys, I'd love to post a high res version but unfortunately I painted it at 800 x 600 in the first place  I could scale it up for you though... :D Garma: agree with you on font choice - I just got bored looking through all the fonts! Sorry about the size robin, I'll try to post 640 x 480 from now on.

I completely agree.

Sagi & robinayles -- Thanks for the comments. "Roger" has a tardiness problem, so he hasn't rescued many LIVE turkeys. We're thinking of giving him a desk job. :)
