11 November 2004, 08:55 PM
thats really awsome great job did u model the background to it looks real? very coollove the textures.

11 November 2004, 09:05 PM
Very well compositing. Great model but one tiny crit: chrome mat on the hydraulic pumps (or whatff they are called) looks too perfect if you compare it with the other (fantastic) dirt on the model.

Saw the model already on 3dk but this is better (composition)

11 November 2004, 09:12 PM
wow...thats amazing

11 November 2004, 09:33 PM

11 November 2004, 10:56 PM
OMG thats freeking awesome. Is the background also 3D? Or is it a picture..

10 stars for you.

11 November 2004, 11:53 PM
oh my god!

really nice idea and amazing modeling and textures!
great work!

11 November 2004, 12:28 AM
thats really creative and cool, man ..the texturing is wicked as well as the model ...great peice man all the best and i voted 5 for this man :)

11 November 2004, 12:40 AM
Great idea, nicely textured, but the chrome hydraulic pumps things look too clean compared to the rest of the model, also the shadows look a bit strange.

Damn, imagine crossing that thing in the street...

11 November 2004, 02:05 AM
Personally I think the chrome is alright since that part would be slide into the other so rust couldn't start on it, maybe a grease line or something would help. The only thing that bothers me is that the background picture is almost the same value as the machine so it begins to blend in. Great concept.

11 November 2004, 04:22 AM
the fact that the model blends in seamlessly with the background doesnt bother me at all ;).Its friggin awesome

11 November 2004, 05:02 AM
This is very good. Sorry, I can offer no critique. Just my admiration.

11 November 2004, 06:26 AM
I'm not saying that edge blending is bothering me, I'm saying that much of the machine's value is similar to the photo behind making the machine hard to see.

11 November 2004, 06:40 AM
I like the compostion alot:thumbsup:

11 November 2004, 07:03 AM
great work !! !i 'have see your animation ,and i like it! !

You should offer the concept to the "belarus" traktor factory (i wonder if they still make these machines) :P
You got my stars

Come to think of it... that model would actually work even... crazy

11 November 2004, 07:57 AM
Great jog dude! Iti is realy amasing. Great concept:thumbsup:

11 November 2004, 08:08 AM
incredible job!!! i see this image in 3dkingdom (only the traktor). very good composition, the only crits, are that for me the shadow above the traktor are so strong. also decressing a little...

11 November 2004, 09:27 AM
excellent work!
im wondering how a little dof might look?

11 November 2004, 09:37 AM

11 November 2004, 10:30 AM realy great, I like very much... the integration is perfect...CONGRATULATIONS ;-)

11 November 2004, 10:41 AM
i'm totally speechless.

11 November 2004, 11:45 AM
I found some convenient words for this picture:

11 November 2004, 12:01 PM
very nice!

11 November 2004, 12:57 PM
Excellent concept, very unique!!

Beautiful work, model, light and textures.

The wheel on the left is nicely textured but I think it's the part that looks most fake. The rest of the model is gorgeous.

Perhaps a little more work on the light would make it look perfect.

Very nice!

11 November 2004, 04:12 PM
WOW that is just amazing. Respect

11 November 2004, 10:02 PM
Man, this is fantastic! I'd give something to see it animated!

Front!

11 November 2004, 01:15 AM
So well done and combined with the photo. It's photo, isn't it? It's great! The texturing is awesome.

11 November 2004, 11:46 AM

but but...

my god...

is it animable?

11 November 2004, 11:48 AM
Thanks for comments :-)
Chrome its realy alright couse of sliding, as a KevinCCAD told.
And BackGround its a Photo.
I cant show animation couse our studio dont have time for this. I only have some technikal tests about movement and compositing with real video (3d camera traking).
But I create little demo:

11 November 2004, 03:31 PM
:applause: ,:applause: and more :applause: . Great work.

11 November 2004, 04:45 PM
this design is very cool!!

11 November 2004, 04:20 AM
I love your idea and it is also very well executed! Good job.

11 November 2004, 04:52 AM
cool idea, u got it man

11 November 2004, 10:57 AM
wow that's really amazing...r really love your compositing work...environment and 3d stuff fits perfectly!

11 November 2004, 02:18 PM
Everything is nice except the shadows.
As the environment implies, the weather is cloudy without sun. that means there's no strong directional light source outside, and the shadows should be fairly light and soft, without such clear boundries.

sorry pal. :P

11 November 2004, 04:56 AM
thats really awsome great job did u model the background to it looks real? very coollove the textures.
LOL... sorry I just had to laugh :p Its called composition, the trackter is fake done in 3d and he put it on a real photo. He also did one hell of a job. The lighting is nearly the same as the photoshop and the shaders look great. Works well together. Good job

11 November 2004, 07:27 AM
oh I haven't got such great idea for a long time
why couldn't I think out these :banghead:

11 November 2004, 11:33 AM
Really good integration.:applause:
As others "cg talkers" i only can see one small problem with the sadows. I agree they must be less intense for this cloudy day, and smaller the area radio.
I hope you can understand me, i'm spanish and my english is not good.
For the rest, very good job, really good, great textures and very patient with the modeling.
Two questions:
How many time it takes to you? (modeling, texturing and ilumination)
What render do you used?

11 November 2004, 06:28 PM
great Idea and work!

I love it!

11 November 2004, 06:49 PM
impressive!Totally awsome idea and superb work!

Frigging coolest/best model in ages!!Right on the desktop now!

Keep on trucking that tractor!!

11 November 2004, 11:36 PM
This is a superb concept, Yegor! Be proud of your creativity! I can't wait to see it animated!!

11 November 2004, 02:52 AM
Really reminds me of a Chaos marine Defiler.

awsome stuff

11 November 2004, 09:28 AM
Очень забавно! Здорово прям... :-)

Very funny

11 November 2004, 09:36 AM
Wow holy shit, this looks awesome :-))) Compositing is quite good, and especially I like the wheel :-)

Man , I'm from Ukraine too !!!

11 November 2004, 01:19 PM
I would love to see it moving !!! quite a show it would be !!! :bounce: nice job. And nice wheel.

11 November 2004, 02:04 PM
I would love to see the wireframe of this spider-tracktor. I think it is very realistic but some wireframes would really make me sleep calmly

11 November 2004, 04:16 PM
Привет, супер, ну акк всегда.

11 November 2004, 05:49 PM
What a cool idea! Just a few things that I think would help sell the image.

Overall the monster has too much contrast. Compare the key side and fill side of your monster to the key/fill sides of the "shack" behind it. The underside lip of the "shack" roof is much lighter than the underside shadows of your monster's legs. The sky is overcast, light is bouncing everywhere, so it will creep in the crevices more. The shadows on the asphalt are too dark too. Compare them to the shadows of the crevices of the building and doorways. The main shadow under the monster's belly should be much softer.

Great job, very clever. Really stirs the imagination.

11 November 2004, 07:56 PM
But it looks better with other different colour of the buiding.

11 November 2004, 12:46 AM
i really like the image... my only critique is that the shadows dont look natural, they look like they are lit by indoor lights not by the sun behind the clouds... try making the shadow a little less promenant. very nice image though

sorry if this has already been said i only looked at the image

11 November 2004, 12:30 PM
Great and original modeling , I like it very much , your creativity is fantastic .
Compliments !

11 November 2004, 01:21 PM

11 November 2004, 07:48 PM
Pretty clever idea and the design work is realistic enough to be believable. Solid modeling and texture is good too. And it seem to fit inside the picture well as in integration. It would be nice to see other views if you haven't already posted them.

My only crit is the shadow beneath the cockpit area...I think it's too strong and sqauarish shape shadow too defined.

Other than that....a great effort.

11 November 2004, 11:23 PM
great idea

11 November 2004, 05:16 AM

I do not reply to long... sorry!
Trying to answer some questions.
1) Used render - Brazil r/s
2) time to complette - 1 month totaly, with animation.
3) Texturing - heh.. I tried some methods and find very usefull DarkTrees.. i just Paint over model by vertex paint were i want a rusty metal or oil or paint.. its was finny and easy! and NO problem with UVW maping.. but some parts textured with photos.
4) Yep, shadow its no so well.. you al rigth. (
5) I have animation composed with real video. Looks Cool but i stoped on it couse need to work (some time I need to eat to), so no now it project Frozen and waiting for sponsor. ))) if u have one - inform them about me. ;D
