I always love your works, very cool posé. what this project for?
front page for sure.
mood is fantastic

11 November 2004, 04:36 PM
Super boulot , j'adore :)

11 November 2004, 04:58 PM
Hi pascal blanché,
Haven't seen u in a while.
Here's my 2 cent.
I like this latest piece from u. Especially the dynamic pose. Top notch!
I like the design as well. But there's one thing that bugs me, it's the bra. It looks a little way too stretched out. and It doesn't seem to have visible wrinkles. currently it looks like some kinda stretchy rubber material with a coat of gold paint over it (with some scratches over it).
And there's something about the left leg doesn't look right with the deformation. should be a quick fix for u.
Moon (light grey) behind her, close to her right leg just draws too much attention. Abdominal muscle looks like a little too rough. The deformation isn't up to my taste.
Overall, I still feel a little lack of bumps and displacement over the image. I'm not sure which max version u are using atm. So, it could be ur personal decision on the art style.

U've done a great job. Looking forward to see ur next artwork.

You have a consistent style that is unique and refreshing, and the technical skills to support your visions. Your works are always dreamlike and beautiful.

You have my respect and envy.

Thanks for sharing,

11 November 2004, 05:33 PM
This has a nice space-opera feel, me likes :) That reminds me, weren't you supposed to enter the challenge ? ;)

Crits: the moon looks as it's closer to us than the spaceships at the top, generally if you see moon in daytime, it appears rather flat. So i'd make it flat, and less visible, obscured by the haze. Other thing, i'd deepen the shadows on the girl slightly, or add something like subtle AO pass.

11 November 2004, 05:47 PM
As always one impressive modelling and texturing work for this scene, pose of the character is really dynamic, and the rest of the scene (spaceships) great too.

11 November 2004, 06:24 PM
Really cool ! Glad to see something new from you ! The body reminds me Frazeta's work a lot.

PS : C'est pour quand le kawa ? ;)

11 November 2004, 06:32 PM
Nice work indeed. Love the pose.

11 November 2004, 06:32 PM
thx for the kind comments and constructive critics guys!

yup i'll definitvly work on those anatomy / background issues..
It really helps to have fresh eyes on your work ;)

11 November 2004, 06:45 PM
Really Nice Work! I must check the archives of your past works! Very Nice! If I may make a statement though, I am not sure what exactly is happening with her right leg. The area that is questionable, is the deformation at the point where the thigh meets the pelvis. I agree with the deforming area of the exposed panty line, but the area pinching below I don't think should be deforming the way it is. It seems as if she obtains multiple panty line areas. If my critique makes any sense. Overall, obviously, this is a beautiful piece of art.

11 November 2004, 06:57 PM
nice work, very unique use of colour. somehow i feel the horizontal motion of the ships and forward lunging position of the character is abruptly broken by the placement of the spear. Either it is too thick or it needs to be positioned at a lower angle. It is a great pose and character, but i feel the ships need to be brought out more, it is loosing a little bit of emphasis due to its tone. character could be lowered slightly, colours, motion and elements are filling the upper half of the composition, as such the lower half feels empty.

In all, wonderful execution. I particularly like how the cables lead down and out of the image. It is this kinda details that allows the viewer to think more about the artwork, leaving a lot of imagination on the viewer's side.

Good job. :D

11 November 2004, 07:38 PM amaze me every time i see your newest works... in this piece, i love the stylized look you have (as usual) that is brought about through exaggerated anatomy and the overall atmosphere... can't wait to see what is next!

11 November 2004, 08:18 PM
outstanding composition! the true ambience is very well done and the modelling too, only I think the legs are a bit fat :)

11 November 2004, 08:50 PM
This is great , I loved the composition and the solution for the hair.
no critsss

11 November 2004, 09:07 PM
Always a pleasure to see more of your work. Unique style and vision. Things bothering me a little are the moon (too sharp for me), and bra ( kind of flat). But overall, good image

11 November 2004, 09:42 PM
Wooohooo.... another Pascal Blanché stunner....

great stuff

11 November 2004, 09:46 PM
really fine picture, very personal... I love the pink-green color scheme, too... bravo!

11 November 2004, 09:50 PM
i absoulutly love your work im a big fan, this is really well done i love it i got nothing to say i see no flaws just and all around good job

11 November 2004, 11:24 PM
Lovely girl. Or whatever it is. :) That thing in her (?) hand looks like a remote control for a toy car. :) And it must be very hard to get around with that hair and all those pipes. But it looks very cool, and that's the point. :) Nice job.

11 November 2004, 11:59 PM
Surreal and vivid. An intense moody look and feel........the style and color pallette have an ethereal look.....................Wicked cool...........

11 November 2004, 12:03 AM
Great job! I can hardly believe that's all 3d...

11 November 2004, 12:05 AM
fantastic Piece!

11 November 2004, 12:09 AM
Very nice work Blanche!

11 November 2004, 12:24 AM
hey Pascal, how much would it take for me to come visit with you and have you give me a 1-week lesson? Cause your work...intrigues me...

oh and btw another beautiful work...You have a crazy imagination like me but you seem to have like 45x more ability or at least patience. =)

11 November 2004, 12:31 AM
Great composition. Love the spaceships. They're a good example of "less is more".

11 November 2004, 12:39 AM

super taf man

11 November 2004, 01:30 AM
Awesome work as usual! I wish i had your skills. *Sighs*

11 November 2004, 02:08 AM
There is nothing that compares to your style. Everytime I see one of your pieces it inspires me to strive to put that extra effort into my work. Great work. You are one of those artists that keeps the thrill in CG.

11 November 2004, 02:25 AM
This is really cool, I actually thought that it was a ps painting. Can we see some wires??

11 November 2004, 02:32 AM
no words!! oops!! just one ...AMAAAAAAAAAZING!

11 November 2004, 02:56 AM
I've always loved your characters. They've got personality. On this forum I see lots of trolls, monster, male warriors, fimale warriors etc. but they are all the same with small variations. Your characters are different and this what makes them unique and interesting. Keep up the amazing work.

11 November 2004, 02:57 AM
pascal incredible work again, love the pose and mood

11 November 2004, 03:16 AM
great model as always , i really like the colors in this pic , the dynamism of the cybernetic hair , nice and subtil.

11 November 2004, 03:29 AM
Bah ca déchire comme d'hab :buttrock: :p

11 November 2004, 04:32 AM
Like it? Love it! This is one of my faves of your work...put this on on Zazzle for sure! Haven't used my French in ages so let's see what I remember: J'aime beacoup ton image, surtout les seins! Chateau Frontenac! Petit Bonhomme! Louis Riel! Hahahahaha

11 November 2004, 04:37 AM
very nice:thumbsup:

11 November 2004, 04:58 AM
Have always loved you work! This is a great composition and I really enjoy the lighting and the mood. I do have to agree qith KFC on his critique of the left leg- right where it attaches tio the hip there's a line or something. It might be part of her costume, but it just stand out too much for my taste. I do, on the other hand, like the abdominal very much, very Frazettaesque. Keep up the great work.

You;ve got you " 'atta' boy" for the day!!

11 November 2004, 05:42 AM
Wow! Is that a poser model? :p hehehe

Very nice as usual!

Her face is turned at an odd angle, though; I would like to see her facing the camera more, perhaps looking at that monitor in her left hand?

11 November 2004, 05:50 AM

11 November 2004, 06:03 AM
Hey Pascal hows it going? Long time no see dude! Nice the composition:-) Hows life back in Mtl?

Mike in Oz (

11 November 2004, 06:17 AM
Man, let me tell you, when I saw the thumbnail on the front page I thought: "Cool, that looks just like Pascal's work/style" And I was freakin' rigt! It was you! :D Your style is definitely recognizable and admirable! Very impressive again! Simply awesome  Keep it up!

11 November 2004, 06:19 AM

nuff said

great pascal

11 November 2004, 06:53 AM
Pascal, always love to see more of your stuff on the net, it inspires me in a different way then most other work not just "ow that some wicked pic!" with some talent, but always ships with a mood.. And another great peace in your galleries site. The color theme rocks who would think pink and green, this peace, kindof reminds me of a flower in a desert, almost a painting of sorts..

how long did it take you to finish this peace? I think there should be an artist featured cgtalk calendar, for the guys like you

11 November 2004, 07:48 AM
Great as usual !

11 November 2004, 08:07 AM
ur always kewl maaan..

great stufff.....

11 November 2004, 08:19 AM
The atmosphere I like very beautiful realization much and the
colors are subtle, just a little less fan on the left leg
(placement of the foot?)

11 November 2004, 08:41 AM
I`ve seen much better, and they even don`t get to front page. Hm something, wrong here.

11 November 2004, 08:48 AM

11 November 2004, 08:59 AM
Great !

11 November 2004, 09:09 AM
Nice pose , but the bent leg looks a bit weird. I cant make out where the knee bends.

11 November 2004, 09:10 AM
Some persons say the legs are fat others say the breasts are strange but all these stuff are the reasons for which you have this strange and interesting style
Very good

Sorry for my bad english

11 November 2004, 09:33 AM
Stylish pose:thumbsup: and nice colors:)!!!

11 November 2004, 10:00 AM
so great and it is not similar with other's special!

11 November 2004, 10:00 AM
Great !

11 November 2004, 10:42 AM
I could tell it was of Pascal Blanché the second I saw it on the front page. Unmistakable style.

Fantastic stuff again Sir. Blanché

11 November 2004, 12:10 PM
i love this work (i love all urs works:))

11 November 2004, 12:14 PM
  Great ARTwork
Yes the legs ar fat bat i believe you did that on purpose.
(I would like it better with thin legs:) )

11 November 2004, 01:08 PM
Great pose it caught my eye right away. Nice work as always. :applause:

Off of the top of my head, I have two small critiques:

- First I think the rock she is standing on needs more contrast from the background to really make her pop to the forefront

- Second her bikini top looks painted on: I think more a touch more shading (particularly around the contour of the left breast) would help this, as well as a touch more texture

- Oh yah, and this is just an idea, but if you enlarged the planets in the background it might make the picture even more dramatic

That is my 2 cents. Again great pose and composition

11 November 2004, 02:25 PM
*cough* awesome
great atmosphere and composition!
I give you the usual 4 stars ;)

11 November 2004, 02:37 PM
You're my favourite cg artist. Nothing more to say.

11 November 2004, 02:45 PM
Hi. I just wanted to say when I saw the small pic at the top of the page I said - Pascal. Great style!!! I think it is a real accomplishment. To have people that know your work for its individuality.

11 November 2004, 02:46 PM
I love your work this one being no exception. Great job.

Kevin Albers
11 November 2004, 03:27 PM
Fabulous! Reminds me of Frank Frazetta's work.

I don't have any crits. It's just plain lovely. :)

cris castro
11 November 2004, 03:50 PM
la compo est cool, est ce qu'il y a de la retouche sous ps?

11 November 2004, 04:02 PM

Hey Pascal hows it going? Long time no see dude! Nice the composition:-) Hows life back in Mtl?

heya Mike! hows life back in Australia :)

11 November 2004, 05:44 PM
Even green cyborg warrior alien women on desolate planets shop at Victoria's Secret.

11 November 2004, 07:35 PM
Very very beautiful and artistic..

I agree with most of the crits, except that she should be looking at her thing, I like the dramatic, striking pose.

My only crit is that her oxygen or whatever life-sustaining gas she uses should not be strapped to her leg. Its good for composition, as the hose follows the dramatic lines of the image, but in a survival sense, its a very, very stupid place to put a respirator device.

I love the flowing lines of the different straps and hoses, the way it makes your eye move with the image.. the framing is lovely, the color scheme is perfect.. but she does need more shadows.

She is beautiful, and I look foward to seeing more of your work.

11 November 2004, 09:22 PM
jup really amazing work.

could you post a wire of the space ship ?

11 November 2004, 10:22 PM
very nice and creative, almost has a water color feel to it, good job!

11 November 2004, 01:06 AM
Hey Salut Pascal !
Aller A+ amigo!

11 November 2004, 01:47 AM
we are not worthy

11 November 2004, 05:53 AM
Great crafstmanship, cool style! I love the groovey, curveyness of it!

The idea has been done to death though. Scantily clad SF chick? The ships and moon feel like filler. You've got style and craft in spades, now I say work on the ideas and you will be truly unstoppable.

11 November 2004, 01:11 PM
That's actually great Pascal !! But as it concerned my personal opinion, a few critics...

11 November 2004, 03:27 PM
This is nice dude! I would remove the bra though :)

11 November 2004, 04:51 PM
yeah another great piece of 3d from u, congrats!! I must say your pics kinda inspired me to enter this 3d "world" haha its really nice to see another one :deal: :)

11 November 2004, 06:05 PM
Very nice! Has a "John Carter of Mars" feel to it.

Got to love alien chicks with big boobs! :)

11 November 2004, 08:58 PM
Curved forms and interesting designs...(I love the ships too)The color scheme reinforces the depth sensation.Very good work, indeed .

11 November 2004, 09:51 PM
Good work as usual. I'd like to know if it is possible to see a wire of your alien girl ???

11 November 2004, 02:41 AM
luv ur work like always.

Be Water
11 November 2004, 10:34 AM
wow, this site has me lusting aliens. LOL

great work

11 November 2004, 12:10 PM
Everythings great except the composition is very unimaginative and reminds me of ten million Conan the barbarian style posters which makes it just a bit ridiculous ;)

11 November 2004, 01:57 PM
great work.:applause:

i like her pose and style:thumbsup:

11 November 2004, 04:29 PM
Those legs most definitely aren't too fat. They're deliciously voluptuous.

I hate commenting after everything has already been said... but could I ask some more technical questions? like what's she made out of? (I'm currently suffering with nurbs...) and how long did it take to model her? Do you have any sketches?

Sorry if these are boring questions...

11 November 2004, 07:33 PM
Like I said in my comment, (now I will speak english for those who dosen't understand well french) the proportions is a question of taste and a choice. I just sais that for my part I prefer thinner legs, it's just me !! This was not a critic not at all. The world is made of everything !!! As it concerned nurbs I suggest you for my part to give up that way for character modeling execpted Robots characters maybe !! Let be the nurbs for designers and CAD works !! Enjoy the Poly man !

11 November 2004, 07:43 PM
all my scenes are polygon based.. i will post a wire soon ;)

It didnt took me long to model here, as I didnt totally started from scratch.. maybe 10 or 12 nights no more

11 November 2004, 08:58 PM
Vray's good ! Hein pascal ? Nice work ! great character !

11 November 2004, 10:49 AM

Congratulations again!

11 November 2004, 11:23 AM
As stunning as always pascal, cheers.....

11 November 2004, 12:33 PM
Stylin work. Not many with this way of there own.Looks soooo cool.

11 November 2004, 10:24 AM

11 November 2004, 07:54 AM
Good Imaginations ....
I think tis pic tall what your inside ... may be..

11 November 2004, 01:13 AM
I'm more a lurker than a poster, but... I just got to say... Wow !
It's interesting to see what you do outside of Ubisoft ! :)

Definitly bookmarked ! ...And, just to mention it, I really love what you do ! I've used your mermaid as avatar where else and a lot of people are asking me where I got that so cool image, so I do free publicity for you, saying that you're one of the best CG artist in Montréal and stuff ! :D

Go Montréal Go ! :bounce: ^_^
See you around ! ;)

11 November 2004, 06:37 AM
great work pascal! :)
it remind me work of simon bisley.

11 November 2004, 01:11 PM
You having a very strange but interesting style, love color choice.crazy designing, but so nice too.:applause:

11 November 2004, 04:16 PM
Nice creature, well done work.

11 November 2004, 05:38 AM
Great work as always Pascal!!

Those legs most definitely aren't too fat. They're deliciously voluptuous. Some persons say the legs are fat others say the breasts are strange but all these stuff are the reasons for which you have this strange and interesting style
I wondered if someone would say it :) but I agree this is a perfect mix of ruggedness and voluptuousness. It's somehow more real to see her legs to match her breast size.

11 November 2004, 06:35 AM
wow..u really created a great piece here..nice mood too.

11 November 2004, 05:07 PM
AMAZING AS EVER! one time more u amaze us with ur art.great colors and model.

11 November 2004, 07:07 PM
I love this character . . . and what you've done with it. It's not always easy to get this kind on quality with 3D Studio . . . I would know, I won't use anything else.

Congrats on the win, and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

11 November 2004, 11:46 PM
neat-o cool

11 November 2004, 12:59 AM
everything about this is awesome! i love it!

11 November 2004, 06:09 PM
So....How are those wires coming?

12 December 2004, 09:57 AM
Bravo Pascal, cette image est magnifique.
Mortel !
Bravo !

12 December 2004, 06:19 PM

12 December 2004, 03:52 AM
pretty cool as usual. I agree with someone saying the Bra is kinda wack. The contrast vs the blown out light on her breast doesnt do the model justice. The bra doesnt appear to bend with her curves. Just make her topless for cryin out loud. :P

Then there is that Orb, or planet or ? Its location throws the balance off a little, interrupts the eyeflow, and its too low to be a planet, so it looks like an orb behind her. I say lose it...the focus is yer girl. Good shuat though. Always lookin for more.

01 January 2005, 11:00 AM
Yop!!!... :bounce: Beautiful work!!! One would like to see some more especially on the level of the vessels!!!... I like much the environment which emerges some... Good continuation!!!... :buttrock:

02 February 2005, 06:56 PM
 Very nice....

02 February 2005, 03:23 AM
Great character design.A+

03 March 2005, 10:44 AM
amazing 5 stars no doubt about it

04 April 2005, 10:46 AM
I love it! :) congratulation!
Just a tiny remark. I don't understand how work the top of his left leg. The junction between this leg and his pelvis is hidden by the pipe, so it's not easy to understand how are his clothes.
J'adore malgrés tout

09 September 2005, 07:32 AM
Pascal! Pascal! He's our man, if he can't do it, then no one can!
Like all your work......5 stars everytime! :applause:
